Pedro Martinez who is out until at least the All Star Break of 2007 said that if he can not come back at full health he will consider retirement. 
In an article on Mlb.com
"It's getting better, and progress is above all what is hoped for," Martinez said. "To go back, I have to recover. I have to be healthy. But if God doesn't want that, then I would have to think about giving it all up."

wow.....this makes me really sad

Im going to do a little prediction as to where the Mets top propsects will land on Baseball Americas top 100 list for 2007. 
My top 5 Mets Prospects (Milledge is no longer a prospect)
1.Fernando Martinez
2.Phillip Humber
3.Mike Pelfrey
4.Carlos Gomez
5.Deolis Guerra
I think they will all make it with maybe the exception of Guerra. So to the predicting......
