FACTS DON'T CHANGE PEOPLE: STORIES DO.
Think about it. What do you remember? From fifty years ago? From yesterday? A fact? A word? An expression? Chances are, you remember a story, a conflict, a character or personality . . . a problem worked out or not resolved . . . a human action part of the thread of human life. We are all storytellers, and we all yearn for stories. It is in our blood, the life force that propels us every onward. We tell stories because we are human. We are human because we tell stories.
WHAT A STORYTELLER DOES
A storyteller brings a world to life from her imagination and shares it with the audience. She communicates with the audience to create a story. A storyteller needs her audience. A storyteller helps us remember and visualize why we come together in the first place. We are social animals--we need one another--and stories are the example of this fact.

An Okie Storyteller is proud to be from the Sooner State. We have a history of trouble, triumph, loss, and joy. We are cowgirls and cowboys, outlaws, oilmen and women, Cherokees, Osage, Choctaw, Delaware, and other indigenous people, pioneers, survivors, farmers, merchants, families, immigrants and survivors from all countries to this great country. This Okie Storyteller tells stories, legends, and personal memories of the people who made The Land of the Red People, a land for all those with a vision of determination, will, and success.
