Ambien

What is Ambien?
• Ambien is in a class of drugs called sedative/hypnotics or sleep medications. Ambien affects chemicals in your brain that may become unbalanced and cause insomnia.
• Ambien induces sleep and causes relaxation. It is used to treat sleep disorders such as trouble falling asleep, waking up many times during the night, or waking up too early in the morning. Ambien is for short-term use only--usually 7 to 10 days. Longer-term use must be monitored closely by a doctor.
• Ambien may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.

Carisoprodol

Carisoprodol is used for:
Treating discomfort associated with acute, painful conditions. It is usually used as a supplement to rest and physical therapy.

Carisoprodol is a muscle relaxant. It works by blocking the signals from the spinal cord to the muscle.

Do NOT use Carisoprodol if:
you are allergic to any ingredient in Carisoprodol or to related medicines (eg, meprobamate, mebutamate, tybamate)
you take sodium oxybate
you have the blood disease porphyria
Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.

Celebrex

Celebrex is used for:
Treating rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, menstrual pain, or pain. It is used in familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) to decrease the number of polyps (growths) in the rectal area. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Celebrex is a COX-2 inhibitor NSAID. Exactly how it works is not known. It may block certain substances in the body that are linked to inflammation. NSAIDs treat the symptoms of pain and inflammation. They do not treat the disease that causes those symptoms.

Do NOT use Celebrex if:
you are allergic to any ingredient in Celebrex
you have had a severe allergic reaction (eg, severe rash, hives, trouble breathing, growths in the nose, dizziness) to aspirin, an NSAID (eg, ibuprofen), or a sulfonamide (eg, sulfamethoxazole)

Do NOT use Cialis if:
you are allergic to any ingredient in Cialis
you have been told by your health care provider not to participate in sexual activity because of certain heart or health problems
you are taking or using any type of nitroglycerin (eg, under the tongue, capsule, tablet, spray, patch, ointment, paste) or other nitrates (eg, isosorbide), or recreational drugs ("poppers") containing amyl or butyl nitrate
Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.

Diazepam

Generic Name: Diazepam Injection (dye-AZ-e-pam)
Brand Name: Generic only. No brands available.
Diazepam is used for:
The management of anxiety disorders or for the short-term (less than 4 months) relief of symptoms of anxiety. It may also be used to relieve agitation, shakiness, and hallucinations during alcohol withdrawal and to relieve certain types of muscle spasms. It may also be used to treat seizures, insomnia, and other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Diazepam is a benzodiazepine. It works by slowing down the movement of chemicals in the brain. This results in a reduction in nervous tension (anxiety) and muscle spasm, and also causes sedation.

Fioricet

What is the most important information I should know about acetaminophen/butalbital/caffeine?
Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. Butalbital will cause drowsiness or dizziness. If you experience drowsiness or dizziness, avoid these activities.
Avoid sleeping pills, antihistamines, sedatives, and tranquilizers except under the supervision of your doctor. These may also make you drowsy.

Avoid alcohol. Alcohol taken during therapy with acetaminophen and butalbital can be very damaging to your liver and can increase drowsiness and dizziness.
Check the acetaminophen content of other over-the-counter and prescription products while taking this medication. You should not exceed 4 grams (4000 mg) of acetaminophen per day.

Never take more acetaminophen/butalbital/caffeine than is prescribed for you. If your pain is not being adequately treated, talk to your doctor.

Hydrocodone

Hydrocodone/Ibuprofen is used for:
Treating pain over a short period of time (usually less than 10 days).

Hydrocodone/Ibuprofen is a narcotic and NSAID combination. The NSAID reduces the formation of prostaglandins that cause pain and inflammation. The narcotic works on the narcotic receptors in the brain to decrease pain.

Do NOT use Hydrocodone/Ibuprofen if:
you are allergic to any ingredient in Hydrocodone/Ibuprofen or any other codeine- or morphine-related medicine (eg, codeine)
you have had asthma, hives, nasal growths, or allergic reactions after taking aspirin
you have severe bowel problems (eg, pseudomembranous colitis) or severe kidney disease, or you are taking sodium oxybate (GHB)
Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.

Levitra

Levitra is used for:
Treating sexual function problems in men, such as impotence or erectile dysfunction.

Levitra is a phosphodiesterase inhibitor. It works by helping the blood flow into the penis to achieve and maintain an erection.

Do NOT use Levitra if:
you are allergic to any ingredient in Levitra
you are taking or using nitroglycerin (eg, tablet, patch, ointment), nitrates (eg, isosorbide), or certain antiarrhythmics (eg, amiodarone, quinidine)

Hydrocodone, an opioid (narcotic) analgesic, works by binding to receptors in the brain and nervous system used by the body's natural "pain relievers." The combination may provide better pain relief than either medicine alone.

Do NOT use Lortab if:
you are allergic to any ingredient in Lortab or any other codeine- or morphine-related medicine (eg, codeine, oxycodone)
