Welcome to Parkhead CC Football Club Website. Parkhead CC was established in the year 2004 for the forthcoming season 2004/05 to take part in the Strathclyde Evangelical Churches League
www.churchesleague.comThe teams aims and objectives were of the same aims as the Churches League:
To provide a place of fellowship for like minded guys (i.e. football players)
To glorify GOD through witness in a sporting outreach capacity
In our first season, PCC managed to score 49 goals, win 2 games and achieve our objectives and more. Many of the players went to Albania to carry out missionary work with various orphanages, whilst all the time gaining friendships and playing a few games of football at the same time!
Our 2nd season wasn't as fruitful on the pitch, scoring only 35 goal, winning 2...but we again achieved our objectives - we created a sister team Trinity Possil. A few of our team left to form another, what better form of witnessing is there!
Our 3rd season, well what can we say...it was an all time low...our spiritual achievements off the pitch were losing grace with our lack of achievements on the pitch. For our third season in a row we finished bottom, received our worst ever defeat (12-0 at the hands of Trinity Possil) and were losing players left right and centre!
However, it is a new season and PCC have joined with another church to form Parkhead Tollcross United FC
