I'm Pensive, usually called "Pen" (that's obviously not my real name; I guess you could call it my pen name). I'm 18, physically female, and currently living in an apartment in the not-so-wonderful state of Texas with my very-much-wonderful boyfriend of over a year, Don.
I've been taking art classes since elementary school, though I didn't become serious about my art until late middle school when I joined deviantART. Even as a kid I was always drawing animals so it was only a matter of time before I started drawing anthropomorphic art and, later, building mascot costumes.
I love parodies, horror movies, and Teen Girl Squad. I'm the happiest during rainy weather, I dreamed of being a werewolf when other little girls wanted to be a cheerleader, and I'm the first to admit that my sense of humor is a little skewed. I'm a hopeless romantic and a lover of music (I like everything but screamer and classical). On the other side, I'm terrified of clowns and ceiling fans, and extremely superstitious of mirrors.
So, who is that cute little critter chewing on a pencil on the layout? That's Tibby the Australian shepherd! Tibby came about as a simple idea in 2006 or so as a pretty simple, four-legged Australian shepherd. Different design from her current one, but same name. I forgot about her for a year until 2007 when she got a complete design overhaul; her markings became what they are now, minus the hair and plus a few accessories.
A year and a half later she lost the accessories in favor of a more natural look and gained the hair, though it was only red bangs at the time (and bright red at that). Finally, in 2009, she got her final change (a more natural red hair color and chin-length hair as opposed to just bangs) when I had her made into a fursuit (made by Midori; see right). These days, Tibby mostly exists as my art mascot.
