Kiki is the main character of the film. Being a cheerful girl, Kiki is always ready to help people. Kiki is a witch that has only 2 powers, unlike other witches who have a lot of powers. Kiki's only powers are talking to her cat, Jiji, and flying her broom.

Jiji is Kiki's trusty cat and friend. Jiji is very cautious, unlike spirited Kiki. He can be very sarcastic in the film.
Name: Tombo
Age: 14
Being a year older than Kiki, Tombo is a boy who dreams about flying. Forming a club for a man powered flying machine, Tombo shows complete interest in Kiki's ability to fly. He tries several times in the film to impress Kiki, one of them trying talking her to a party. At the end, Tombo became a good friend to Kiki.

Osono was the first kind person to Kiki when she arrived to the new city. She has been pregnant through the whole film. In the ending song, however, Osono is shown after Kiki was flying, as skinny and with a baby, which proves she had brought the baby.
