The White Lady
It happened one night
When a new security guard was hired
It was his first night on duty
As the last guard handed him the key, tired
“Good luck my friend,
and just remember, this is an easy job,
but at midnight when you hear a tapping at the door
don’t you dare turn that door knob!”
The new security guard with
A confused look on his face
Shrugged off his curiosity
Knowing it was time to get into place
Two hours into his new job
And all had gone smoothly
But the security guard watched
The hands of the clock hit midnight slowly
It was midnight at last
And the security guard got nervous
While he waited for the tapping,
The tapping that made him so curious.
Tap, Tap, Tap
It was the tapping, the tapping at last!
But the security guard did not know what to do
He couldn’t resist but
To see who was making the noise, just who
But he had to control himself
Remembering what his fellow work mate had mentioned
If there’s a tapping don’t open the door
(Oh so much tension!)
Tap, Tap, Tap
He couldn’t take it anymore
So he got up and walked to the door
He had an idea!
Improvising he kneeled on the floor
He lowered his head, leveled to the keyhole
Peeping through it with one eye
He couldn’t see much
So he moved his head closer on his second try
Something strange, strange he had spotted
It seems like a red orb,
That just floats there
A deep red, the orb’s core
Looking at the mysterious orb
Had trance the security guard into space
But when the finally blinked
The red orb had vanish with no trace
When the new security guard’s shift was over
His friend had arrived to take his place
He asked him why he didn’t want him to open the door
When a tapping came, what was his case?
“Well my friend, our work place is haunted
By a ghost named ‘the White Lady’.
When the clock hits midnight
She roams the hallways
Tapping, tapping at the doors.
If you open the door when she taps
You have basically fallen in her trap
If you see her full figure
For seven years bad luck she will trigger.
Why do you wonder, my friend?”
“Oh nothing”
“And before I forget, ‘the White Lady’
May be a pale, white ghost,
But she has the bloodiest, red eyes
That could creep you out the most…”
