Puppet Master Vs. Demonic Toys
|

Puppet Master Vs. Demonic Toys - The most anticipated Fullmoon Movie of all time. 11 years ago - during Production of Puppet Master 4 - an idea surfaced about bringing both the Puppet Master and Demonic Toys franchises together into a 'VS' movie. "Dollman Vs Demonic Toys" (1993) also helped to fuel this concept which would have been Fullmoon's next project. However, A 1993 Pre-Press Poster does exists proving that the project was being seriously considered at some stage for a definate place on Fullmoons development list.
During the course of the duration in which the project was rumoured as being in development - it would only appear that the movie was no longer Fullmoon's (Now Shadow) Key ambition. They continued to release other movies including the ever expanding Puppet Master Series.
From what is understood - Original talks concerning the proposed Puppet Master Vs Demonic Toys project also resulted in a possible "Puppet Wars" (Puppet Master Mini-Series) which would see the Puppets of Andre' Toulon battle the deadly Demonic Toys. This idea was later scrapped due to budgetary reasons.
An actress which was pledged to star in the movie was none other than "Traci Lords". This turned out to only be a rumour. Courtney C Joyner and David S Goyer were supposedly penned to direct the feature. This also turned out to be a rumour.
Reports that Fullmoon has issued statements concerning the movie many years later were confirmed to be true, but were never elaborated upon. The project continued to remain a mystery as the years slipped by. Only a few years ago rumours were once again on the increase as news spread that Shadow had released images and supposed storyboards of the new toys. This turned out to be true. However - not before long all had gone silent once again.
Just 1 year ago the movie was listed on some of the most professional mainstream movie databases on the internet including IMDb - the earth's largest movie database. After a pondered release date and slippery production details the movie which was then said to Air in the November of 2003 on the Sci-Fi channel had fans rioting with excitement. November came, but the long awaited movie didn't follow...
Until now... October 2004... Fresh News has once again began to circulate without the possibility for rumour discrepencies. Official word and two 'Makeup' Screenshots from the producers have been received. The News is from Fangoria - an Ultimate Horror Resource website. The News Announcement was this:
"Jeff Farley of the Obscure Artifacts FX company recently returned from Sofia, Bulgaria, where he and associate Christopher Bergschneider handled the creature and makeup work for the long-awaited PUPPETMASTER VS. DEMONIC TOYS. "We redesigned [the characters] while still keeping true to the originals," Farley tells Fango, "and I’m very proud of what we’ve accomplished. The script [originally by Courtney Joyner, and rewritten by director Ted Nicolaou] is quite good, with an emphasis on humor rather than keeping the serious tone of the other films. We’re all treating this as a separate entity from the [previous two film] series. Oh, and did I mention that it’s set during Christmas? Melanie Tooker stayed over from MAN WITH THE SCREAMING BRAIN to help us, and Gary [SPIDERS] Jones directed 2nd unit.
"The crew also included Bud McGrew, Mark Shostrom, Thomas Mounkes, Fred Marino, Dirk Von Besser, Frances Scott, Tim Kennedy, Edward French, Ana Catalanotte, Dragon Dronet from Renegade Effects, Paul Schmid, Karen Cardier, Paul Vincent Fusco and the amazing Jana Stoyanova and Miglena Bogdanova—my local Bulgarian crew," Farley adds. The artist doesn’t want to let slip his redesigns of the puppets and toy characters just yet, but he did pass along the photos seen above of himself making up Anton Falk as the demon Bael, and the creature attacking Nicolaou. The movie will premiere on the Sci Fi Channel in December".
Playtime is Over. Now the REAL fun begins.
