It's been a
hectic first year, but I'd like to think it was a successful one. I
transcribed without failing my first year of university. I met many
dear friends online--and some in person--through their interest in the
show and this great undertaking. I flew overseas to see QI being
recorded and had the very best time of my life. I got to tell John
Lloyd just how much I cherish his creation, and I kissed Stephen Fry on
the cheek. In short, I couldn't be happier that the show I've taken an
interest in gives so much back to those who toil. It's a pleasure share
my transcripts with everyone. Without the website, you can bet that I
still would have transcribed simply for my own reference, but
publication encourages perfection, and you all have encouraged me. Thank you. Here's to the next year, and here's to the next series of QI this autumn!
I'm afraid I'm too much of a poor planner to have thought up any
celebratory jollities for the site, but I hope you don't hold that against me. Drop me a line if you have any ideas, or simply if you have a message for me to give to my toddling site. They grow up so fast, don't they?
