About Us
Welcome to Ravenwood English Setters. My interest in dogs began in childhood, and before I was twenty, I was breeding and showing dogs. My main breeds were Great Danes and American Staffordshire Terriers. One of my Danes and I made it to Westminster where we won a Group Three together. That was a long time ago. I got out of "dogs" for a while, but was never without a companion dog. Many years later I was once again bit by the "bug" and looked at some of the Sporting breeds, when I fell instantly in love with the English Setter. In 2006 Emily Fuzette came on the scene as an assistant and friend. Emily of Libertie Brittanys assists with whelping, grooming and showing when she can and is a co-owner of some of the dogs. She has been showing Brittanys for almost ten years and the two of us hit it off with our similar ideas and ethics. The rest as they say, is history. Please feel free to browse my pages.
