2 Alarm Pennsburg job - 4/24/2009 @ 1820 hrs Squad 71 was dispatched on the 1st alarm assignment to assist station 65 (Pennsburg) on a building fire. Remaining crew strethched the pre-connected 3" mercury gun to side "D". Special thanks to the Bucks 57 boys for not only supplying Squad 71 with water but providing plenty of entertainment by leaving their "smokey the bear costume" on Engine 57 for LT-71 to model at the scene..........

Squad 71 arrived 2nd due and its crew stretched the 2nd line in the dwelling. Crews had a quick knock on the fire with heavy smoke through out the house. All units cleared at 00:30 hours.

Station 71 adds to its numbers being water rescue certified - The weekend of March 20-21st Red Hill had 10 members travel to the Longwood fire company in Chester County to complete and be certified at the Phase I level of water rescue. This brings the number of certified personnel at least to Phase I level to over 20 members.

The following weekend the Chief and Captain traveled to Bellefonte, PA to the Fish and Boat commission training site and became certified as Awareness and Phase I Water Rescue Instructors.

Congrats to everyone for their accomplishments !
