1/26/08 - Squad and Rescue assist Pottstown - Just shortly after 15:00 hours Squad 71 and Rescue 71 were re-located to station 69A (Goodwill) for cover ups in Pottstown Borough who was operating on a multi alarm fire involving 7 businesses (store fronts) and multiple apartments located above them in the downtown business district.

Prior to arriving in the borough Rescue 71 was diverted into the scene to assist in the rear of the burning structures. Shortly after Squad 71 arrived at 69A they were diverted to the rear of the properties and assisted numerous companies who were in the process of making a 100+ foot trench cut in the roof. The Squad was released around 21:00 hours while the Rescue remained on scene until 08:15 the following morning.

The crew from the Rescue provided lighting in the rear alley for Squirt 69 through out the night and assisted in fire watch operations hitting hot spots until the buildings were knocked down the next morning. This is believed to be the 1st time apparatus from Red Hill has ever assisted Pottstown.
