Reiki New Beginnings - Reiki in Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Welcome to my website.  First and foremost I am a Usui Reiki Master/Teacher providing regular training workshops in Usui Reiki Ryoho for people looking to make positive changes to enhance their health and wellbeing.   I also provide a wide range of holistic healing treatments enchanced with Reiki and tailored to individual requirements and host various short workshops (see Calendar for dates) from New Beginnings above my home in Cudworth, Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

Barnsley has good road and rail links with the towns and cities of both South and West Yorkshire and Cudworth itself is easily accessible by car or public transport being just three miles from the town centre on the A628 Pontefract Road.

I work with very small groups and often on a one-to-one basis to ensure individual attention combining Western and Japanese Reiki techniques in the way I was taught by my Reiki Master, Jagran, during a mentorship programme at the White Space in Sheffield prior to his retirement.  The White Space was renowned for its excellent Reiki training and one of Jagran has teachers, who he has close links with, was Frank Arjava Petter the author of many Reiki books including "The Original Handbook of Dr Mikao Usui" Lotus Light Publications.  Petter's research changed Reiki history as it was known in the West and my teaching is a reflection of what has been passed down my lineage.

Nowadays Reiki has become a generic term for various types of healing that are not the original Usui Reiki and to prevent confusion the book I recommend to students starting out on their Reiki journey is Frank Arjava Petter's "Reiki Fire" Lotus Light Publications.

As well as Reiki training and Reiki Healing I also practice holistic treatments combined with Reiki and these include the following:-

Reiki+Aromatherapy   - Reiki healing combined with Aromatherapy massage using pure essential oils

Reiki+TAHM or IHM - Reiki healing combined with Tibetan acupressure head massage or Indian head massage

Reiki+Massage - Reiki combined with holistic massage or stress massage

Reiki+Lymph Drainage - Reiki combined with lymphatic drainage massage

Reiki+Crystal Reflexology - Reiki combined with reflexology and crystalline energy

Reiki is combined with all my treatments which are tailored to individual requirements therefore rather than providing a holistic therapy clients receive a healing without time constraint and need to allow up to two hours for each session.

We all have the capacity for self-healing and these treatments promote deep relaxation acting as a catalyst to trigger the body's natural healing response.  However, you do not have to be ill to enjoy the benefits holistic healing brings and they can be enjoyed purely for the sense of wellbeing which follows treatment as stress and tension slip away.
