RHAF is looking for Volunteers
to implement program
County Director (office skills), Onsite Service Provider
(extensive knowledge on the care of equines is essential), Fundraising
Coordinator and additional volunteers to help with fundraising events.
Several successful areas of fundraising for counties has been established;
all that is required are volunteers to organize and run them. Funding
generated within Clallam will be available to assist only Clallam County
equines.

Horse Council has established a foster care program. This equine care program
works in cooperation with Clark County Animal Control and RHAF's "Hay 4
Horses" AC voucher program. More
foster homes are needed.

To have a successful program Cowlitz County citizen will
be needed to support the "Hay 4 Horses" animal control voucher program
by direct donations and fundraising events. Funding generated within Cowlitz
will be available to assist only Cowlitz County equines. Several successful
areas of fundraising have been established in other counties. All that
is needed are the volunteers to implement them. Only a very few hours a
year will be needed of your time with a large volunteer pool.

Ripley's HAF had its first County meeting 3-19 and now feel that
Skagit will quickly move forard. Next scheduald meeting will be posted
at a later time.
Fundraisers:
Direct Donations can be made
at any Skagit Farmers Supply (Country Store) by asking the clerk to place
your donation into the Ripley's Horse Aid Foundation Account. Thus giving
the foundation a credit to purchase hay, grain supplements, etc. for the
"Hay 4 Horses" program. Donation cans can be found at: Country Store
and The Feed Barn, Sedro-Woolley:

Sponkane County's 2009 program is looking hopeful as
volunteers are being found. Apoximately $5,000 will be needed from
donation and fundraisers as this years start up funding is only $2,500
Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service (SCRAPS) was the
first county animal control agency included outside of Skagit County
in January of 2006. However due to not having RHAF volunteers in that area
the program was placed on HOLD.
