          Ideal Quote of the Week

A compliment is like a kiss through a viel.

          An Interesting Fact

DID YOU KNOW...25% of all Americans read at a 5th grade or below reading level? Thats 1 in 4. A recent study shows car seat instructions are written as high as a 10th grade reading level. Too many Americans are installing their seats the wrong way, simply because, they cant understand the instructions. (no, it's not their fault they cant read, it's our educations systems!)  It would be more interesting to see what grade level birth control pills are writen at, then prehaps we could justify that.

          Anti-War, Not Anti-American

A common misconception of the anti-war movement is that we are against our country and our troops. In reality, what we are really against is acts of terrorism that our country advocates against the innocent. By invading a country that is undeserving of military action because of past acts by their dictator, we ourselves become the oppressors. We are now what the world fears. We are a country that is willing to go to great lengths in order to remain the ultimate super power. A country that is willing to risk the lives of it's own in order to stay on top, and a country that ruins and destroys the lives of those thousands of miles away to make a couple bucks. If we truly are a country built upon freedom, we should be spreading wisdom and peace, instead of instally fear and unrest. We feel that we need to stay on top in a different way. Instead of spending billions of dollars on this war, we need to focus on our own country's education! This is what we're trying to say. We aren't against America, or it's troops, we are fighting for them in our own way.

          We the Empire

When the President of our country no longer pays attention to the will of the people, this country is no longer a democracy. When our President wages an unjust war against a minor threat in comparison to other threats that we face, this country is no longer a democracy. When our President disregards the lives of millions in Baghdad, only to finish the problem his father could not, this country is no longer a democracy. This war is not about freedom, it is about capitalism, and that is the real threat we face, when money is more important than lives, the control of oil is more important than Iraqi freedom, and freedom is nothing but an over-used word.

          The Meaningless and the Concrete

Do as I say, not as I do. An interesting quote. We say peace, and then we bomb. We say everything in moderation, and then make it available to supersize every piece of food available at McDonalds. This quote just doesn't make sense to me and yet everyone has heard it. A quote we should pay more attention to is the one that goes something like this. "An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth." Since we do as others do, and not as they say, pretty soon the whole world would be blind and mute.
