Summary: Amidst conflicts in both the wizarding world and the muggle world, Harry returns to Hogwarts for his sixth year. There is once again a new staff member at Hogwarts, Professor Slughorn. But Slughorn teaches potions, and Snape has been given the job of teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts. Harry begins taking his N.E.W.T. classes, and excels in Potions. Harry has come across an old copy of the potions textbook that was once owned by the Half Blood Prince, as this person called themselves, which includes alternate directions on how to create each potion. Meanwhile, Harry becomes obsessed with Malfoy and what he has been up to all year, as he cannot be found on the Maurader’s Map for hours on end. Professor Dumbledore begins private lessons with Harry.
