Thanks to you guys, SNM Horror Mag has finished #3 on the Preditor's Polls for Best Online Horror Magazine of 2009! We are proud to place in the top 3 of 60 nominated magazines even though we stated out at 1st. Thanks for making it happen!

We were also nominated for Best Horror Anthology of the Year in 2009, even though the release was technically slated for 2010. We've climbed all the way from 22nd place to a respectable # 7! We also had 3 of 6 nominated authors finish in the top 15 best!

Bonded By Blood II: A Romance in Red features only the Stories of the Month for 18 months plus 2 bonus tracks, so it showcases only the best 20 out of 800 submissions from a year and a half; the way anthos should be! Find it on Amazon.com

Welcome to SNM Horror Magazine, a premiere online publication featuring the best new talent in horror today. We will showcase 8 new short stories each month and publish on the first day of each month, unless posted otherwise. The best part is it’s FREE! Whether it’s to browse around and read the featured authors or even submit a story yourself, we welcome and embrace you into our dark realm of true horror. This mortuary was built by my own grimy appendages from sordid ceremonial grounds and drenched in the blood of disdain and rejection. My ghoulish hands have woven together this underworld to feature some great works from horror authors who haven’t had their imaginative scrolls of horror presented in this inner sanctum from the crypt and into the daylight. We dare to publish what other mags don't, but only in the best of taste! Now come and see why we are the new underground of true horror. You will soon be coming back for more.

Welcome Home to the Mausoleum...where the Dead come to play!

                           Attention Horror Readers:

Yes, you heard right, SNM Magazine is FREE to the public! We are here to bring you the best new voices in horror with a new issue every month. Are you ready for the next generation of Stephen King? By previewing the author's featured stories for free, you can decide which authors you like best. All we ask is that you patron the ones you like by buying their novel with the link to their website on where to buy their book. Sign our reader's guestbook and subscribe below to get our free updated monthly newsletters. These guys work hard to entertain your brain and appreciate your verbal support and interest!

                           Attention Horror Writers:

Do you have an original short story you want to see published? All first and second time published and self-published writers welcome. If we publish it we will  showcase your story and promote your book or website right underneath your featured work in the hallowed halls of our magazine. If available, we will also post your featured author bio and picture on the site for the month your story is published. We have bi-monthly paying contests and we have published a horror anthology with paying royalties to the contributors featured therein. Submit us your best unpublished fiction! You can promote your book directly through your own channels of distribution and still get your name out to the masses. We charge no fees for any of our services. We are the new Bootcamp of Horror! We can also help get you into HWA with our paying contests. Our philosophy is this: since no one gets famous overnight it's imperative for new writers to get exposure and acquire a good fan base. So it's all about having your stories read, initially. We have become a launching ground for authors, who get feedback from our editors to learn and grow before submitting to pro paying markets. Moreover, we are a theme based magazine, which means by hosting a challenging theme, we force writers to write fresh, new stories instead of just submitting older material or recycled rejects. So dream dark, be unique and write brilliant! Anyone published by SNM can make it in the pro paying markets. We're here to trigger that dark inspiration.

                               SNM Mag Promotion:

Fear not, we have covered all the bases. We are registered with all the major horror directory venues such as Duotrope, Preditors & Editors, Ralan, Horrorfind, Horrorgenre, Every Writer's Resource and more. Additionally, we are listed on all the major search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ask & Aol. We usually post weekly bulletins, blogs and blasts on Myspace where our twisted congregation of depraved freaks eagerly devour our raw carnage offerings. Between our members and readers, writers, interviews and goth girls we've mutated like a tumor! We are averaging over 2,000 unique visits to the website each month and word of mouth helps. Make us become the number one source of FREE horror by telling your friends about us. It's free for them, too! Thanks for visiting SNM Horror. We hope you find it...disturbing.

                                  Submissions:

We are open to submissions all year and the floodgates have opened! Horror writers wanted dead or alive for dark, cryptic weavings and grim scribe offerings! If you have an original work of horror between 2000-5000 words then send it here, we want to see it! We will also provide feedback if we do not accept it -- usually within thirty days.

                          February Newsletter

Greetings SNM Gluttons,

Greetings minions and welcome to the February Femme Fatale Dark Erotica issue of SNM Horror Mag, where everyone needs a little SNM in their lives to quench their inner glutton. There are some changes we wanted to announce effective as of February 2010: We have added a new section called “Site Info And Awards” and have consolidated this homepage for easier navigation and have kept separate the general information of the site, the SNM Author Roster, Magazine and Author Awards, and the sites we recommend. Due to minimum viewings, we have dropped the SNM Author Book Nook link as it just was not producing enough view or interest to continue it. Out with the old and in with the new. *We would also like to thank our Regular Editors and Guest Editors.

Unfortunately, sad to say, this will also be the final month of Author Interviews as Miss Lilith has fully completed her one year internship here at the SNM Bootcamp and will be missed. We do wish her well. It’s hard being a full-time Mommy but we enjoyed her and very much appreciated her in-depth look into author’s dark lives! So February will be the last month of SNM interviews and we are going to retire that section for now so that we may concentrate on bringing readers more creativity from the fiction and the dark poetry sections, at least for now.

Please send Lilith fond farewell comments as she has put a lot of time and energy into the mag with her interesting interviews. Also see Lilith’s newsletter. Unfortunately, the only constant is that change is inevitable and good things never last. We may add on a new Author Interview Editor by summer.

Stay tuned for the final results of the Preditors & Editors Voting Polls! Thank you so much to everyone who voted for SNM for the best online magazine and best horror anthology of 2009! We appreciate it very much!
