Season 2008/9

Welcome to yet another season, whilst we have lost a couple of teams we have also gained others, thus we are even bigger this year.

As stated many times we are a competitive albeit friendly league, please keep it this way. Please control all adults/parents/spectators. Please keep well clear of the playing area and do not allow anyone to stand adjacent to the goal posts.

Also please advise your supporters, that if they have problems it should be taken up with your CLUB and NOT the LEAGUE. The club should take up any other problems with the league under excisting rules.

Also, please give the poor old referee a chance. If you have people who think they can do better, give them a chance.

Presentation Evening

Due to the current size of this league and the excisting problems of safety. With large numbers always present at the Carnegie rooms we have therefore arranged for TWO evenings this season. Mini Soccer on the 23rd May and Eleven a side on the 24th May both starting at 8pm. This may have to be the same in future, unless we can find a venue that will cater for in the region of 500 persons and within our financial budget.

Please note the NEW earlier time to phone in results (5pm), this is nessessary to feed our EXCELLENT web site, which will allow the web master and my good self some wanted rest time.

Also remember, players from another club/team should not be encouraged/allowed to practice/train with your current/team (Insurance/Enticemnt ETC)

I thank you for all your support and trust you have an ejoyable and sporting season. However any serious problems polease let us know.

If you know anyone prepared to sponsorship to the leagueor any club looking for a change please let us know.
