Neopets
We found a neat, new site called neopets on June 11, 2001 and we saw all these banners, dolls, animations and stuff we couldn't even believe. We found out that kids would use their pet's pages to show off their stuff and what not and we thought that was so cool. So we did it too. We got html help from www.funky-chickens.com and from neopets. We had finally made a site! It only had non-transparent dolls that were not ours, dividers that were not ours, puffs that were not ours and cool text that we learned from funky chickens. we got a counter and figured out that not even one person came to our site the whole month and a half we had a neopet's website. We thought it was the best site ever! That was the beginning of sparkle.


Net Firms
We had an awesome site, but we couldn't remember the URL of the neopet site, so we decided to go to a new website host called Net Firms. We signed up for the name Sparkle and it was already taken! It took us about an hour, but we came up with sparklestuff.(we were going to do something like twin trouble or something, but they were all corny.)Eryn thought up sparkle and Kaila thought up sparkle-stuff and that was our new name! when we went to edit our pages, we couldn't find the editor! We came back ever other day and still could not find out anything about it. So we had to switch AGAIN.


Beginning of a new site
One day at neopets, we found a link to a site in a shop of someone's and went to look at the site. They had an awesome site with no pop-ups and no advertisments! we could move around easily. they were at freewebs.com so we went and looked at freewebs.com! We signed up as Sparklestuff and made our account as advanced user by accident. which we later found out was much easier than the beginner's account. The funny thing is that when we looked up freeweb's names, Sparkle was still available.


Starting at freewebs.com
We had a cute layout and it was not frames. we decided we needed "back" and "home" buttons for people to use. Some days they would work, other days, they wouldn't! So we decided to get a frame. Our first frame was from bethanyf.com and it really worked! we became more advanced and were able to make transparent dolls, animated stuff, layouts and everything we have today. That is a weird way to start, but we have managed! Anywhere from neopets to Net firms, we've been there!


Multiple accounts
We have had so many pages that we have had to sign up for 4 freewebs accounts to have what we have now. The fonts page is a whole freewebs account! Now, we are just starting our 4th account because we have made too many pages on this account. We have had to sign up for stuff at lycos.com, 5gigs.com, freewebs.com, zzn.com, 2ya.com, angelfire.com, and bravenet.com. We feel very lucky to have our site running so smoothly, because we haven't had to pay a cent for it. We one day hope to expand and get a domain, but we don't really have the time. We still have lasted 6 years and counting!
