The Spirit Runners
Your feet trod softly over the mossy path as you look upward at the ancient towers we here know as our trees. They are dark trees of all breeds with luscious ferns and bushes clustered around them on the forest floor. The ground is littered with the leaves of many fallings long past. Damp, earthy smell wafts from the forest floor, thick like fog in your nostrils. Birds silence their conversations as you approach, quieting the cool air. Yet you do not mind, the bugs still hum like drums all around you, keeping it from being completely silent.
Slowly, you sit down with your back against the rough bark of a great pine tree and close your eyes. Without your sight to cloud you, you feel the true rhythm of the forest hums with the pulsing of the insects around you. The feeling of the forest grabs you, drumming into your blood until you are almost lost in it. There is just enough distraction for the thought of why you are here to intrude upon your solitude. Perhaps you came upon our home because you were looking for it? Perhaps you knew it was here already? Did you find our paradise, our sanctuary by accident? Did someone tell you it was here? There are no accidents. There are no coincidences. You are here for a reason. Finally, you decide that how you got here does not matter how, only that you are here and that you are in this moment.
Your eyes open as a sound distracts your attention from the hum. Standing in front of you, eyes curiously puzzled, is a shewolf. She tilts her head to one side, tongue hanging out. She's been running. I am not far behind her and neither is the rest of the pack. I see you and head over by her. You're nervous and I can tell, but that is only because you have not fully accepted yourself. More of us melt from the shadow of the wood; a lynx, a tiger, a hawk or two and many more of all kinds from all different walks of life. Once we have all gathered there with you I approach you, carefully, calmly. You can hear and understand my voice, though you don't know quite how, and I whisper to you,
"Come and rest easy my brothers and sisters. For you are no longer alone."

Welcome to the homepage of the Spirit Runners. The first thing I am going to say is, this is not roleplay! If you intend to fake or fabricate anything or if the very thought of people like us sends you into fits, then hit the back button in your browser and erase this place from your brain right now. I will not tolerate any rpers (people who lie about their accomplishments in the supernatural or with p-shifting) whatsoever so if you are caught or believed to be doing so on the boards, then you will be confronted and possibly banned from the pack. This is a serious pack, despite being on the internet. I myself have been in a few internet packs that have been absolutely ridiculous and I don't want that suffocating atmosphere repeated here. This is mainly a place where all of us who are too young to travel without being labeled runaways are coming to get to know each other better. Do not join this pack just because you want to be "turned." Quite a few of us are therianthropes and some would call us werecreatures, but we cannot "turn" you, as this is a path that only you can take. Biting does not turn you into a werewolf. The most it will do is give you a nasty scar to remember the wolf by. We can help you by giving advice, but we cannot do the work for you. This also is not a place for those high on themselves to gloat about achievements in life; it is a place where we can all offer support and encouragement for each other.
