We focus ourselves on the United States of America, where the manmade virus was created and, ultimately, unleashed upon civilization. With world leaders dead and supplies low, America is thrown into a haunting game of Survival of the Fittest. The refugees of Captain Trips are now faced with daily struggles, including Flagg fanatics who just won't accept that their leader is nowhere to be found, dwindling supplies, and panic.
