Why, I do believe it's an update from me!!

'ello, all my fellow newsies fans! It's been awhile, huh?? I've been so busy lately... it seems junior year is just as crazy as everyone said it would be... Things like "family" and "school" have been keeping me occupied. Don't worry, my love of newsies (though it isn't as crazy as it was when I first became obsessed) is still going strong!

Never fear (Brooklyn's here!! ... ...um... sorry...), because I actually do have updates... just not right now. I should be able to get them up in the next week or so. In the meantime, why don't you head on over to the poll page (...if you haven't already answered it) or go ahead and let me know that you were here in the Guestbook. :) Be sure to enjoy the Newsies Drinking Game and BDHONSDG as well. Maybe you could also come up with some more YNYOWNWs? :) The possibilities are (almost) endless!!

Hello all you newsies!   

I'm just stopping by to let everyone know that today is the one year anniversary of The Walkin' Mouth!

I really can't believe that it was one year ago that I started this site! I never imagined that it would grow to have so many people visit it and give me support. All of you make me keep going, and I love signing on to see that I have another survey or just an email from someone who likes the site. So, thanks everyone! You're all great!

I also wanted everyone to read that on Friday, July 27th- Saturday, July 28th there will be an Online Newsies Rally. This was created by Tellie and I, and it's going to be a lot of fun! Hi everyone!! :D It's me, with an update! (I know, amazing, right?) I wanted to get in at least one update before I go out of the country from the 9th-19th. ...so here it is! 

I've added two new surveys to the Survey Results page. Visit that page and learn some information about two more newsies fans!

I also changed the poll. You can find the results of the old poll, as well as a new poll to answer on the Polls page. Check that out, and let me know how good at gambling you think Racetrack really is!

Also... it's one of my favorite times of the year! Tomorrow (June 6th) is Max Casella's birthday!

No way. Is that date really right?? *checks computer date* Yup. *nods* That's the date alright. Oh gosh, if feels like it's been at least a year, not 3 months. (But 3 very, VERY busy months!!) Where have I been? Hm. Well, if you really want to know, I actually was in a musical (with a wonderful part- I was SO excited when I saw what part I got!) so that took up TONS of my time. Then almost right after that got done, I had Spring Break. And those pesky things like "school", "family", and all that other good stuff seemed to take up a lot of my time.

Enough with my excuses, though, huh?

I actually have something very exciting that I'm working on with my sorta co-leader, Tellie. (We've decided that she's David, and I'm Jack. Hm. :D ) Anyway, what we're working on is the First Even Online Newsies Rally! Maybe you've heard about the Newsies rally that's going to be going on in NYC this summer? Well, Tellie and I wanted to do something for all of those people who can't actually go to the live, in person, rally. So, we're in the process right now of creating our website and putting up some info. and banners for all who want to come and enjoy the ONR! I'll (of course!) put up the link and more information when Tellie and I have more of the site put together. We're both very excited!!

It's already December?! Wow. I'm sorry, everyone! I feel horrible that I haven't updated since then!! But... today I have LOTS of things to do on here! Today I was sick from school (stomach flu, bleh!), and I decided to see what I could do to update. And guess what? I got up, ummm... 4 new survey forms. Yay! Trying being the key word... If anyone knows how to use it or knows somewhere I could use a good tutorial, could you email me? Please? I'm trying to make some icons for everyone to use, but I first have to be able understand Photoshop!

I can't believe that October is almost over! It seemed to go fast... maybe only for me though... who knows?  

Last weekend some things came up, so I didn't get the chance to go and see The Prestige. Tomorrow evening, though, I get to! I'm excited, I've heard it's very good.

A short little thing that I have to share...

Today my dad was telling me to do something and he goes, "Can you do that for me sweets?" Not even meaning to say my NN. I thought it was really funny, and a tad bit scary. He doesn't know that my NN is Sweets, so I knew that it was just by chance. Still, it was cool!! My head snapped up at him and I just stared, but he (of course) didn't get it!

No updates (just warning you now):

I know this is a day late, but I just wanted to say something about September 11th, 2001. On that day, so many of us didn't even realize what was going on, and I'm sure we didn't know what it would be like 5 years from then (today). I certainly didn't realize even what those building were back then.

I was in 5th grade at the time, and I remember my class was just coming back from Art that morning. Our teacher told us that 2 planes had crashed into the World Trade Centers in NYC. Then our teacher informed us that a plane had also crashed into The Pentagon in Washington DC. My parents were in Washington, DC for a conference my mom had, and I was praying that they were both okay. That day, at lunch, a teacher came up to me and said, "Danielle, your mom called to say that both of your parents are okay." I was so glad, but it was subdued by how I felt about all the citizens of New York City, Washington D.C., even people Pennsylvania, and especially those who had lost loved ones and what they all had to go through still.

When I got home from school, my grandma was there watching T.V. They kept showing over and over the twin towers and that whole mess. I broke down crying and so did my grandma. I just couldn't understand why someone would want to hurt so many innocent people and it still baffles me now. Even now recounting it now I'm starting to tear up.

So, to stop this from getting longer than it already has, I'll just say God bless you all. To everyone who knows someone who lost their lives in any of it, my deepest sympathy, and you know that I'm thinking about you and praying. To all my newsies freaks in NYC, you're in my prayers, too!

I'm sorry for such a downer post, but I just wanted to get that out there and acknowledge something that especially on the 5th anniversary (or the day after), needed to be acknowledged.

Oh wow... oh wowowow. It's been over a week since I last updated!! School = CRAZY!! Homecoming is coming up, I have auditions for our school play that I've been practicing for, and add the usual violin, piano, volleyball, and homework on to that. I do have something, though! It's the official site of the 2007 Newsies Rally going to be held in New York City. It's going to be lots of fun, and I'm trying to let my parents let me go. If you go, I'm positive you're going to meet lots of other newsies freaks, and we're all really nice. So... it's been a whole 3 days since I last updated. It's a little sad, I know! And... all I wanted to do today is to let you guys know about this super awesome newsies thing!!  On the IMDB newsies board someone talked about a rapper taking KofNY and making a rap to the beat of it and putting part of the song in it. I decided that I wanted to see if I could find this and listen to it. And I did!! So I'm putting the link up here for everyone to be able to go to it and listen to our lovely KofNY put into a rap. (It's kinda strange... but still awesome that someone did that!)

Warning: This song IS a rap which, like most raps, has some inappropriate language for young newsies lovers. Be warned that even though it has newsies in it, the only part that it has KofNY is right at the beginning, end, and parts of the middle.
