His ultimate fame and popularity, however, came when he started putting together sound tracks for numerous television series and movies.
Omar composed the music for Lelet El-Ab'd ala Fatma in 1983. A year later, the musician dazzled his growing audience with the soundtrack of Al-Youm Al Sades. Now there was no stopping the mastermind as he gained more popularity and fame as time went by. Omar's most famous works came in 1993 though; that was when his musical compositions Kadeyet Am Ahmed, Al-Khademah and El-Erhaby were released. He was awarded Best Film Music Award from the Egyptian Committee of Cinema for the amazing soundtrack of El-Erhaby. Three years later, Omar proved he still had lots to give and he was far from done; he mesmerized people with the soundtrack of Al Noum fel Asal. In the same year, the amazing pianist and composer stressed his talent in Albahth an Tut ankh Amoun that landed him Best Film Music Award once again - but this time from the Radio and TV Union.
