I think one of the best ways to reduce stress and anxiety in your home is to have this kind of elegant, useful item in plain view, filled with lamp oil and ready to use. An investment in this kind of antique pays back in so many ways.

This lamp is made of frosted cranberry glass with grapes in high relief. The globe has the same pattern as the lower part, but is in white glass and might be later. It contrasts nicely with the deep alizarin crimson color of the base and stands firmly on its feet.

As I was looking around at topics to write about for this May edition of The Teapot Co-op, my eyes fell on this lamp that is being offered by one of our members, as well as another lamp that is just a decade or two younger: a German "Triple Alliance" Brockwitz marigold carnival glass biscuit jar that was fitted with an oil lamp top.
