About Pokemon
Pokemon are 350 creatures that live in another world. Instead of animals there are pokemon.
Pokemon Trainers are people who spend their lives capturing and training the wild pokemon that roam in the areas between cities. Pokemon trainers keep their pokemon in small red-and-white balls called Pokeballs. Pokemon battle each other to gain experience, which helps them grow stronger.
Pokemon can evolve if they gain enough experience. When a pokemon evolves, they grow a lot all at once; they often change their appearance drastically and become stronger. Some pokemon have other ways of evolving besides gaining experience. Some evolve when they feel great love toward their trainer; others evolve when they are exposed to a certain stone.
When a pokemon is hurt from battling, it’s trainer usually take’s it to a pokemon center. These are like pokemon hospitals.
Some pokemon trainers are not good to their pokemon, and will mistreat them and not heal them when they’re hurt. Some trainers are criminals, and use their pokemon to aid them in breaking the law. Some of the most organized criminals are Team Rocket, Team Magma, and Team Aqua. Heroic pokemon trainers battle the evil Team, and stop their plans.
Since pokemon are the equivalent of animals, almost all of them are based on animals from real life. "Eevee" (pictured) looks very similar to a fox, but it also shares some characteristics with a rabbit. Eevee is fury, has long ears, and a fluffy tail. If you become familiar with all the different pokemon, you will probably notice other pokemon based on animals.
