The Morrisons 2006 Style

Landithy Hall Madron Cornwall UK Saturday 7 October 2006

Welcome

This is the new web site from Torquay's finest independent band The Morrisons. Originally formed in 1986 and part of the C86 set of bands following endorsement by John Peel in 1987 and Johnny Dee via his Especially Yellow fanzine and the release of the Storm EP on Brighton's Playroom Discs all later the same year.

The band split in 1988 but following interest and a couple of CD releases on Firestation Records the band re-formed in 2004 and with the release of new CD album Psycho Surfin' last year on The Golden Pathway the band have demonstrated that they can still write and play a mean pop tune.

A quick thank you to the 3200 plus of you who visited our old web site. Hopefully this new one will allow us to up date and keep the flow of information and downloads coming thick and fast.

Finally don't forget to sign our guest book we are always pleased to hear your thoughts on our songs and where in the World that your listening to them from.

Hits To Date

Series Two Records Compilation CD

We have a track "You Can Never Be Happy" on the latest (volume 4) compilation release from Series Two Records. This 4 CD set features over 90 bands and over 300 minutes of indie guitar pop phew!! It's available from www.myspace.com/seriestworecords. Well worth your hard earned cash.

Another New Album For 2008!!

If all goes well there should be two new Morrisons albums this year. The wonderful people at Eggnog Records have said they will also put out an album of songs later this year once we've finished recording. At the moment we have 3 songs completed and 2 in progress with another 3 waiting so we will probably be looking at an October/November 2008 release. The album title is provisionally called "Sean Haselgrave's Boots" and will hopefully contain around 12 tracks. Check out www.eggnogrecords.co.nz.

New Morrisons Album For 2008

We hope to have a new Morrisons album "Listen To The Morrisons" out later in 2008 on The Golden Pathway. It should feature around 12 tracks written and recorded in 2007. Keep an eye on this page or our MySpace page for further information.

Closing Time

Just pause for a few seconds and you should hear Closing Time. This is a song written and recorded last year and appears on our new album Electricar. Much to Ian Morrisons's initial disappointment the lyrics do not lament the end of a drinking session at the pub! We will use this home page to preview some of our latest songs so remember to come back soon.
