The Mini-Putt Tutorial

Finally, the long awaited tutorial to one of the best games ever invented, mini-putt... Yes-no need to thank me, just use this guide to improve your suffering score. So, let's get started-you have a high score to achieve. I will be making the "RED" marks in the pictures that you see to help you in your aiming and speed. Not Blue marks, Green marks, Purple marks, or Black marks- but the RED marks. Got it? Good, lets start.

Alright, first of all you do not need to read the instructions as you are highly intelligent and get the hang of things very quickly. Therefore, I marked through the instructions part as you can see above. Well, okay...I guess if you need to take one quick glance at the instructions then you better do so. But hurry back to this tutorial. Done yet? Good. For every hole I will have the amount of needed pictures shown with my beautiful RED marks on them highlighting key things to do. Then below the pictures I will do my best to explain what is going on in the picture. But you could probably figure it out by yourself. Keyword there ->probably.

As you can see above, numero uno hole is a par 3. Hahahaha, not if you are using this tutorial. Place the ball a little to the left of the top right corner. If you notice in the picture, the ball is directly in line with that piece of wood in front of it. Drag your putter back until those ingenious little yellow dots are like you see in the picture. Aim where the ball will just miss the corner of the course where it is pointing toward. Then click. The ball should bounce around a bit then go swiftly into the hole. Congrats to you if you did it right. If you didn't do it so great, then the refresh button will probably become your best friend during this tutorial. However, when you refresh, you start all over, so I wouldn't recommend refreshing after hole 7 or so.

Here we are at hole number dos, which is also a par 3. Oh My Goodness, not three holes! Whatever will you do?! Don't worry. The sure fire thing  to do is to make it in the bottom of the three holes. You can see it circled in RED above. You can place the ball anywhere, as long as you make it in the bottom hole in 1 shot. What I chose was to place the ball in a straight, horizontal line to the hole. Do not use a lot of power or you will overshoot the hole. Click the ball and watch the miracle happen. Who would have thunk that the bottom hole led straight to the main one on the other side? Another hole in one to be excited about.

Come on now, need I really explain? Just don't hit the ball too hard, k?

Alrighty then, hole numero four is a bit tricky-definitely the hardest so far. It is a par 3, but it is possible to make a hole in one on this course. I have tried many different ways, but so far this is the only way of getting a hole in one most of the time. I cannot guarantee a perfect shot, but if you experiment around the point I tell you then I am sure you can perfect this hole.

Okay. Start by placing the little, white, spherical object slightly to the left of the top right corner. Then drag your putter back until the first little yellow dot is on top of the triangle that is three triangles from the right and three triangles from the bottom. Confused? That's alright. Take a look at the picture. Around the first yellow dot you will see two red dots to the right and to the bottom. The red dots are ontop of the triangles that I have just mentioned. The yellow dot is the point where these triangles meet, and that is where you should aim. This is the best shot that I have come up with. If you get a hole in one, that's amazing. If not, then hit refresh and experiment some more. Remember, if you do find a way to get a hole in one every time-PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

Moving on to hole number cinco. This is a par 2, but still requires a little bit of aiming, and you can still get a hole in one. The picture just about tells it all. Place the ball in the top left corner. Drag the putter backwards until the yellow dot is right above the corner as shown in the picture. Click and watch the wonder of calculating the perfect path for a hole in one. Marvelous.

Another hole, another hole in one. The picture makes perfect sense, but I will again write the explanation for those of you who need it. Place the ball in the bottom left corner. Drag the putter until the little yellow dot is, as it explains in the picture, just before the edge of the wood. For reference, the red line that I drew is the point where the yellow dots should not pass. Also, make sure that the line of yellow dots is aiming at the corner across the gap. The ball should hit the section that I made red on the other side (It says "Aim for this point," that is where you should aim.) Just make your putter look like the one in the picture!

To accomplish this hole, just pay attention to the picture. Ball in the middle, yellow dot at end of ramp. Booya! Hole in one. This is too easy. Good thing, because the next hole is probably the hardest. Shall we?

Okay. On this hole you have two options. The first option is a guaranteed hole in 2, while the second is a gamble-but with a possibility of a hole in one to keep your perfect game going. I personally recommend the 2 shot method as it is safer and guaranteed. This is the explanation for the 2 shot method. Place the ball in the bottom left corner. Drag the putter as far to the right as possible without going off the screen. Now aim the dots where they will come as close to hitting that wooden bar as possible. DO NOT LET THE BALL HIT IT OR YOU WILL BE RUINED! Don't worry, just match the picture and you will be fine. After doing that click to watch the ball roll. It should land within that cool red circle I drew there. Now move onto the next picture below for the second step. By the way here is the gamble method just in case you ever want to try it. Gamble method: Place the ball in the top right corner as i have illustrated for you. Then pull your putter all the way down to the bottom left corner. I drew a little circle down there to clarify. Yes, I know it looks weird and unlikely to happen, but it can work. Anyways it makes the ball go really fast. Good luck with that one.

Now step #2. Drag your putter until the yellow dot is touching the edge of the course. Make sure that the dot is horizontally even with that second wooden bar . Once again, just make your putter look like mine. If all went well, you should have a hole in 2.

Moving right along here to number 9, a par 2. Place the ball in the top left corner to begin. Drag your putter down where the yellow dots line up to make a perfectly straight line up. Make sure the top yellow dot does not pass the red line I made. Simple enough right? Go at it then. I'll see you at hole 10.

Hole numero 10 is simple enough. A par 3 which you can make in, ummm what's that number i'm looking for, yea 1. Place the ball in the bottom left corner. Then aim the ball where it will hit the end of that top wooden piece on the right. Make it hit where that little red dot is I made. And there you have it, another hole in one. Magnificent.

Here we are hole number 11, a par 3 which can be made in the magical number of 1 shot. Start by placing the ball in the exact center of your starting green. Pull your putter back until the first yellow dot reaches the far right edge of the course. Make sure you bring the line of dots as close to that wooden piece that is in the middle as possible. Easily, match my putter to get a hole in one. Click and watch as the ball bounces a few times before it finds its home sweet home in that delightful little hole.

Start hole 12 off by placing the ball slightly higher than that wooden bar that goes down the center. After that, pull the putter and make the line of dots parallel to the wooden bar. The first yellow dot should be almost at that special triangle that the arrows are pointing at. It's all about them there triangles.

Arriving here at hole number 13, we see the classic windmill course with 3 options to take. Option one is the gray tube looking thing to the left, option 2 is the opening in the windmill (tempting you to take it), and option three is the same as option 1-just on the right of the windmill. First I will begin by warning you not to try your luck with the windmill. Yes, it is possible and yes it will get you a hole in one. However, most of the time you will be rejected and your amazingly low score will probably show up with a few extra strokes. My method is to place the ball in the top left corner and aim for option number 3 (the opening to the right of the windmill). As you have read in the picture, you must aim slightly to the right of the center of the opening in order to secure a hole in one. I would say that your power should not be more than what I have shown in the picture. Now click, and if all went well, you should receive a wonderful hole in one. Is the tutorial helping yet?

Number 14 can be tricky. We see the hole on level ground, but with slopes on either side. Don't worry, it's not as hard as it seems. First, place the ball in the top left corner like so. Now, notice on the screen the exact position I have that farthest yellow dot at. It is in between those two little triangles. What did I tell you earlier...It's all about them triangles. Those two are easy to find because if you were lined up with the hole, these triangles are to the exact right of that. You need to shoot a little to the right so the ball will curve in as it goes up. Just practice this hole and you will get the hang of it. If you mess up then, well there is nothing I can do. Hit refresh and do all the holes again. Hey, at least you get to practice the other holes a lot.

Okay. In hole number 15, it is all about the second to last little yellow dot. Start by placing the white, spherical object in the bottom left corner. Then make sure that the second to last yellow dot is in the middle of the wooden bar of the course, as well as lined up with that metal bar to the left. I drew that red line to show what I meant by lined up with the metal bar. If you already knew what I meant then good for you. Just in case you didn't-there ya go. Now you don't have to worry about the last yellow dot because lining the second one up was all that mattered. if your putter looks like the one in the picture, then go for it. Once again, a hole in one.

Here we are at hole number 16, only two away from the end. This hole is quite easy, so this is a break from the past few we've had. You don't mind right? Pressing on, you place the ball in the top left corner (have you noticed how we have never place it in the bottom right corner before? Interesting...). Now you must aim the last yellow dot where it is both touching the bottom piece of wood, and is lined up in the middle of that little piece of wood above it. If you are confused just check the picture. Got it? Now you should be set. Shoot the ball and watch as it glides swiftly across the smooth, green, grass and into the hole.

Gosh. Hole 17 is just one of those that you can't get a hole in one on. O well. It does not matter where you place the ball at, just as long as when you hit the ball it will land inside that circle I made-better would be inside the square. After doing that, we must move onto step number two where you will have to use a little bit O' logic and aiming.

Now in this step you could probably use a protractor to help yourself get the exact angle, but since most of you probably don't own one, you can use a pencil. Use the straight edge to make the path of the ball. Make sure when you are guessing where it will go after it hits a wall that the angle leaving the wall is the same as when it was hitting the wall. It is not a guarantee that this will work, but you will definitely get at least a three is you miss the second shot. Not too hard, but not too soft. Good luck on this one. Sorry there is no precise way to get a two.

Finally, hole number 18. This is fairly easy, as long as long as you do what I say. Place the ball in the top left corner. Now use your math skills to count over 8 columns of triangles to the left of that metal bar that is blocking your way. Drag your putter until the last yellow dot is directly on top of the 8th column of triangles. Then pull the line of dots down until they are just above hitting the side of the metal bar. Once again, if you make your putter look like the one in the picture, you should be just fine. And now, I can say that this mini-putt tutorial has now concluded. I hope that this will help to improve your game, and if you have any questions then please let me know my contacting me here. Thanks for viewing this and make sure to tell everyone about this so they can get the same amazing help that you got.
