UPDATE
April 11, 2008 There have been many changes at TMC and we just havent made time to update all the information we would sometime hope to get to you we now have 120 children with 39 of them 2yrs old and younger, our youngest (currently residing beside our bed and at times in it) is Jeffery he was eight days old when we got him and is now just under a month old what a beautiful little guy he is. Please add four years to ages below this list is not of all our children. Sadly to us, we have had quite a few leaving to live with relatives and attend govt schools the stories are in the news letters. It is an indication they should not have been with us all along as we are here only for the ones that have no one and place to go. In spite of that we do love them and miss them. Please pray for all.
1.) Chisomo
Emmanuel 6 yrs. Boy Put out by
new stepfather at age three, Chisomo was the first of the boy looking for
food and company going home to his grandfathers empty house. It was worse
than you can imagine.
2.) Mike
Banda
12 yrs. Boy Mike is a
twin to Alan and they were full orphans.Mike has left to live with relatives Allan is with us.

9 yrs. Boy White was a
full orphan being raised by his Grandmother who could no longer cope.
5.) Nowell
Magonja 12 Yrs. Boy Nowell was a
full orphan living with an old Grandmother who could not support them.
6.) Green
Chideya 12 Yrs. Boy Green was a
full orphan causing some trouble with relatives . Green has since gone back to live with his sister and her husband.
7.) Scotch
Mpisamnja 13 yrs.Boy Scotch was a
full orphan living with his Uncle who has died a short while ago.Scotch has gone to secondary school supported by relatives.
8.) John
Chikadza 10 yrs. Boy John’s mother
is alive and we are trying to help her train as a seamstress. Her youngest
child a baby has just died a short while ago. His father died of Aids.

Chikadza 6 yrs. Girl Malita and
John are brother and sister.
10.) Aida
Likumbo 6 yrs. Girl Aida was a
full orphan her parents died of Aids.

Chipiliro Likumbo 10 yrs. Girl Chipiliro and
Aida are sisters.
12.) Joyce
Feston 10 yrs. Girl Joyce lost
her father to malaria , her mother is suffering from a serious disease.
13.) Malenso

8 yrs. Boy Malenso’s
mother has TB and chosen not to test for HIV the father died after a serious
disease. Mary (his mother) has a 2 yr old boy Johane. We are trying to
rebuild her strength. She is in treatment for TB.
14.) Manuel
(Chibado) Billy 14 yrs. Boy Manuel’s
mother died in pregnancy and his father put him out when he remarried.
15.) Sidreck
Mayenda
17 yrs. Boy Both of Sidrecks parents died from dysentery he came as a volunteer and hasn’t left
we are putting him thru school with your help.Sidreck has left TMC after completeing secondary school at a govt school he was dissatisfied when we would not pay for him to repeat the last year due to low marks we are praying for him. Sadly he refused to attempt to find work and did not want to become a small child worker while he studied to rewrite his exams.
16.) Pilirani
Kangerema 9 yrs. Girl Pilirani was
a full orphan with an old Grandma.
17.) Mphatso
Kangerema 14 yrs. Girl A sister to
Pilirani.Mphatso has left for secondary school assisted by relatives
18.) Sigress Kangerema 13 Yrs. Girl A sister to Mphatso and Pilirani.Sigress has left for govt schooling assisted by relatives
19.) Stephen Skelo 12 yrs. Boy Both of Stephen’s parents died of malaria.Stephen has left TMC for govt schooling assisted by his relatives.
20.) Benito Skelo 14 yrs. Boy Benito is a brother to Stephen.
21.) Sinyala Mchenga 7 yrs. Girl Her father died from malaria. Has 4 siblings , her mother is taking training as a seamstress here at TMC.
22.) Alan Mchenga 9 yrs. Boy A brother to Sinyala.
23.) Sophia Mchenga 12 yrs. Girl A sister to Alan and Sinyala. She is the child who told us they ate only one meal a day in the village and it was water lily bulbs.
24.) Dinyero Leyo 12 to 13 yrs ? Boy Both parents died from diarrhea. His old Grandmother could not look after him.
25.) Evason Talo 14 yrs. Boy Both parents died of malaria. Evason’s old grandmother could not support him.
26.) Mike Alfonso 11 yrs. ? Boy Mike’s mother died from TB and his father from shingles. He was with his old Grandfather who could not cope.Mike has gone to secondary school assisted by relatives.
27.) Gresham (Gele) Obesta 16 yrs. Boy Both of Gresham’s parents died from aids. He was living with an widowed aunt who also had Gresham's three part siblings/cousins and four of her own children no training, no job. gresham has gone to govt school assisted by relatives.
28.) Frank Lambiki 14 yrs. Boy Both parents died from Aids. Frank is a cousin Gresham.frank has gone to govt school assisted by relatives.
29.) Joseph Petro 10 yrs. Boy Both parents died from Aids, Joseph is a part brother to Frank and cousin to Gresham?
30.) Mercy Petro 7 yrs. Girl Mercy is Joseph’s sister.
31.) Tembo Kaitano 10 yrs? Boy Tembo’s mother died while giving birth to a child and his father died from TB. Tembo had left the relatives home do to problems and was living in the market selling drinks of water to get food.
32.) Jarrod Kaitano 4 yrs ? Boy Was in difficulties at relatives home. Jarrod was brought here by a great uncle. Tembo his brother found out and came to visit him. We asked Tembo if he wanted to stay as well that was nov 24, 2003 he has been here ever since and doing very well.
33.) Kumbira Nyrenda 12 yrs. Girl Kumbira’s mother died after a long illness and her father died from TB.Kumbira has gone to secondary school assited by relatives
34.) Wilson Nyrenda 11 yrs. Boy Wilson is a brother to Kumbira they were living with an old Grandmother and young Uncle who refused to look after them. Wilson has since left us to live with relatives he is in the market much of the time and needs prayer as he is headed for big trouble
35.) Isaac Saidi 12 yrs. Boy Both parents have died and his grandmother is old and cannot manage.Isaac has ended up in a detention home setting due to repeated theft. please pray for him.
Tendai Alfonso 7 or 8 yrs. ? Boy Tendai has been returned to his mother who was supposed to have died. His father died from diarrhea. Tendai attends school with us here at TMC. He is a nephew to Mike.
Paulina Alphonso 9 yrs. Girl Paulina is a sister to Tendai and has been returned as well they are continuing with our afternoon schooling and have lunch with us.
Each child has a heart tearing story most of which we will probably never know. There are many more in the villages in desperate situations. Please note the number of grandmothers that are in problems as well. Aids has resulted in the elderly being with no recourse as well. They have lost their sons and daughters, in a country, where there is no social net to look after them other than their family.
