Singer Tionne Watkins Rolison, known as T-Boz of TLC, and her husband have agreed to enter mediation as part of their divorce case.
T-Boz's husband, Dedrick D-Mon Rolison, who goes by the stage name Mack 10, had been scheduled to appear in a Fulton County courtroom Wednesday. The hearing centered around a protective order issued earlier this month to keep Mack 10 more than 100 yards from his estranged wife.
When reporters arrived, they were informed that mediation would be held in lieu of the hearing.
Judge Richard Hicks wanted both parties to provide information as to whether the order should be extended for another year. Mack 10 is allowed to have supervised visitation with his daughter on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The couple married in 2000. T-Boz filed for divorce June 8, citing adultery and abuse. She is seeking full custody of their 3-year old daughter.

The Episode of Parkers"She's Positive will be on tonight which features Chilli.
June 17th 2004
In an exclusive interview, Knight told "CJ" what's in store for his future, insisting, "I can't talk too much, I've got a book coming out in October."
But we know who Suge's been talking to -- big Hollywood guns like Sly Stallone. "Sly's a good guy, we've had a few conversations," Knight admitted.
According to "CJ's" sources, the conversations involved the life story of the now deceased Tupac Shakur. Tupac helped build Knight's empire, Death Row Records, but Knight really wants to get into the movie industry. Suge's planning to make a movie about Death Row Records, famous for artists like the late Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes. "It's time to tell the real Death Row story," said Knight.
As for some of today's rap artists, Suge Knight refuses to name names but he's less than impressed.
"It's supposed to be the language of the ghetto," Knight observed. "Instead, we've got cross-dressers and men acting like women."
Knight says he hopes to bring back the real urban poetry of rap with his own new artist, Korrupt, formerly of Tha Dogg Pound, whose album will debut in July. In the meantime, Knight says his life, laced with legal problems, is still a work in progress. As Suge himself puts it, "America's dream; America's nightmare."

T-Boz files for Divorce
ATLANTA (AP) -- T-Boz of the female R&B group TLC has filed for divorce from her husband, rapper Mack 10, saying he committed adultery and threatened to kill her.
The singer -- whose real name is Tionne Tenese Watkins Rolison -- also has arranged for a temporary restraining order against the rapper, barring him from coming within 100 yards of her.
T-Boz filed the divorce papers and requested the restraining order June 8. She seeks full custody of their 3 year-old daughter, Chase Anela rolison.
Mack 10, whose real name is Dedrick D-Mon Rolison, denied the allegations in court documents filed Friday. In them, he said his wife has made the claims "for the sole purpose of attempting to gain an advantage in these proceedings" and to prevent him from seeing their daughter.
The couple married in August 2000 and are now separated. T-Boz said in an affidavit that Mack 10 threatened to kill her several times, most recently on June 8.
The first threat allegedly occurred in October 2002. The 34-year-old singer said she was leaving Mack 10's home with Chase when the rapper grabbed their daughter from the car and told T-Boz she couldn't leave.
"My husband informed me that he would smash my teeth down my throat," she stated in the affidavit. "I asked my husband to give my daughter back to me and I reached for her, and my husband pushed me to the ground twice.
"At that point, my husband grabbed me around my neck and choked me," threatening to kill her, T-Boz said.
She said police officers had to help her and her daughter leave the home. Police reports on the incident weren't immediately available.
The violence continued, she said, when she told him in March 2003 that their marriage wasn't working. At that point, the affidavit states, Mack 10 threatened to have her "erased."
The 32-year-old rapper has been ordered to appear in court June 22.

Usher Considers Reconciliation With Ex Chilli
April 27, 2004 - World Entertainment News Network
Usher is refusing to rule out the chance of a reconciliation with ex-girlfriend Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas - because his home seems empty without her and her son.
The R+B superstar moved his girlfriend into his Atlanta, Georgia home while her house was being renovated last year and, though he has admitted he felt trapped in the relationship, he admits he misses her company now.
And even though the TLC star has reportedly hooked up with football star Ray Lewis, the Yeah hitmaker isn't saying no to a reunion.
Usher still hasn't redecorated the bedroom he revamped for Chilli's young son, and says the emptiness is noticeable.
The singer tells Rolling Stone magazine, "It ain't easy to walk through this damn house. There was a warmth here that's gone. There was a lot of love in this house.
"Sometimes I wonder what would happen if I did call Rozonda. I think it's best that I don't call. She just sort of stays where she is, and I stay where I am, and if it's ever meant for us to speak again, it'll happen."
April 27th 2004
Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas will resume working on her solo album as soon as she hangs up her acting hat.
The TLC member has recorded at least two songs with producer Rodney Jerkins (Destiny's Child, Britney Spears) and a few more with a host of other producers, her manager said. Chilli hopes to release her still-untitled solo debut as soon as the dust settles from RCA's absorption of Arista Records, with whom she'd signed a solo deal.
Chilli has spent the past 10 days in Los Angeles filming an episode of the Lifetime Television hospital drama "Strong Medicine." The role comes on the heels of her guest spot on the UPN sitcom "The Parkers," in which she portrayed Kai, the girl of T's dreams who turned out to be HIV-positive. Her management is also trying to develop a TV series around the singer.
News of acting projects comes amidst false reports that she was assaulted by Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis.
"I feel the need to respond to a malicious rumor circulating in the media today that I was beaten up by Ray Lewis last night and that I am in a hospital in Baltimore," read a statement released by her management Tuesday (April 27). "The last time I was in Baltimore was while on tour with TLC in 1999. I don't know how this rumor got started, or who started it, but I want to make it clear that it is totally false."

The single mom confirms, "Ray's my new guy."

Confessions
Usher has a love child, I can reveal. The baby is the result of an affair the R&B star had with a fan. The pregnancy is also the reason behind the end of his three-year relationship with Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, of girl band TLC, two months ago. She dumped him as soon as he admitted cheating on her. Usher has spilled out his feelings about the mess he has made of his life in a song on his album Confessions, which is out next week. The singer, heading to No1 on Sunday with his single "Yeah," owns up to his affair and fathering the baby. He will not say what sex the tot is. I've had a sneak preview of the track, Confessions Part II. Clearly aimed at Chilli it includes the lines: "These are my confessions. Just when I thought I said all I could say, my chick on the side said she got one on the way. "These are my confessions, man, I'm thrown and I don't know what to do. If I'm going to tell it then I got to tell it all. Damn near cried when I got that phone call."
He also opens his heart about how he didn't want the child and how he was forced to face the end of his relationship with Chilli. Angered ... Rozonda dumped Usher . The song continues: "First thing that came to mind was you. Second thing was how do I know that it's mine and it's true. Third thing was me wishing that I never did what I did, how I ain't ready for no kid and bye-bye to our relationship." Pals say the reason for the frank track is that Usher wanted to go public in the way he knew best — through his music.
One told me: "It's been a really traumatic year for Ush. He knows he's been a silly boy. He was seeing someone behind Chilli's back and precautions weren't taken — she fell pregnant. Chilli obviously hit the roof when she found out and that was the end of a good relationship. Usher will make sure the child wants for nothing and is prepared to do his fatherly thing. Hopefully he has learned something from this. He seems to have matured a lot."
Chilli now refuses to even speak to Usher. When they split she wouldn't give a specific reason but said: "Usher did the ultimate no-no and I'll never be with him again. If someone cheats on me one time, they'll probably do it again. I don't ever want to see him again."

TLC:The Final Chapter(on VH1/march 13th 2004 1 PM)
TLC: The Final Chapter picks up where the first Behind The Music: TLC left off, chronicling the alternately triumphant and tragic second half of the TLC story. Beginning with the release of 1999's multi-platinum Fanmail LP, this one hour documentary follows Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas on a five year journey through ego-clashes, backstage blowouts, romance, weddings, births, sickness, breakups, makeups and, ultimately, death.
With new interviews from T-Boz and Chilli (as well as those close to the trio), TLC: The Final Chapter uncovers the drama and heartache behind the greatest selling female act in musical history. As with no other group in the annals of Behind the Music, TLC truly merit a sequel. This second installment details:
Lisa's nagging solo aspirations and how they threatened the core of the TLC sisterhood
The infamous "Challenge" letter in Entertainment Weekly in which she dared her groupmates to outsell her solo album with albums of their own.
Tionne's marriage to hardcore emcee Mac-10 and her near-death experience following the birth of their first child.
Chilli's romance with R&B heartthrob Usher . a boy nearly ten years her junior.
Lisa's spiritual cleansing with an herbal guru and, ultimately, her tragic death in a car crash outside his Honduras retreat.
TLC: The Final Chapter is a candid look inside America's favorite threesome as they struggle to balance fame, family, platinum highs, and unthinkable lows. New interviews with both associates (producer Dallas Austin, ex-Arista boss LA Reid) as well as the Lopes family, will offer fresh insight on a turbulent five year trip, from 1999's Fanmail to 2002's 3-D (completed after Lisa's death) to their new greatest hits set, a ten year retrospective of TLC hits from "Ain't 2 Proud to Beg" to "Waterfalls" to "No Scrubs."

Chilli Dishes on Ex-Beau Usher
When Usher gets wind of what his ex-girlfriend Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas said about him on a radio program, his "Yeah!" may become an "Oh no!" The TLC singer appeared on The Bert Show on Atlanta's Q100 Tuesday and claimed the real reason she and Usher split up for good was that the "U Got It Bad" singer had cheated on her. "Usher did the ultimate no-no to me," Thomas told listeners during an interview. "I will never be with him again, and that is that."
Reports of the couple's on-again-off-again relationship have swirled in recent months. While promoting his new album, "Confessions," and hit single "Yeah!", Usher recently told MTV, "Yeah, I'm single," but added, "We're still friends. It's just something that happens in life."
Chilli, however, didn't seem all that friendly on Tuesday, as she told the deejays, "He portrayed himself to be this honest and great guy, and he really wasn't."
Asked whether she would ever consider getting back together with Usher, Thomas said, "I will never take him back. It is a done deal."
Regardless of how attractive other women may still find the hunky R&B singer, Chilli spared no comment: "He is so not-cute to me," she said. "I don't ever want to see him again."
Meanwhile, Usher's hit "Yeah!", featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris, moved to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 singles this week.
MTV reports that on "Confessions II," another track from his new album, Usher sings, "Got me talking to myself asking how am I going to tell you/ 'Bout the call I got from the girl/ That I was creepin' with, creepin' with/ Says she's three months pregnant and she's keepin' it."
"It wasn't a specific situation that happened in my life right now," he said. "In other words, I wasn't in a relationship and got another girl pregnant -- right now. But it is something I can relate to and it's something that has happened to me in the past. As I said, I have a few deep, dark ones that I've kept stowed away in a closet for a minute."
TLC Misses Out on Grammy
Unfortunately TLC lost out on their Grammy nomination for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group for "Hands Up". This was most likely TLC's last Grammy Nomination as a group. Luther Vandross and Beyonce won the award for "The Closer I Get To You."

European girl group Misteeq appeared on MTV Base this weekend. They were reviewing their top 10 favorite girl bands and TLC topped their list. Here's the whole thing:
01. TLC
02. Destiny's Child
03. SWV
04. En Vogue
05. Themselves (Misteeq)
06. Salt 'N' Pepa
07. Jade
08. Brownstone
09. Eternal
10. Zhane
According to MTV.com, "Now And Forever" will be release on 30th June. It was suppossed to be released today...
Chilli was on the radio this morning and talked about "Now And Forever". She said the album is not going to be released anytime soon. She said Arista wanted she and T-Boz to do a video with Lil Jon for Come Get Some just a week after the song was recorded, and they found it very quick. Now we don´t know what will happen. A video for Come Get Some or a new single + video could make the album be released, but when? Fingers crossed.
BMG, parent company to TLC's Arista Records has renamed Clive Davis as the head of North American Operations. This comes three years after his departure from the label and just weeks after L.A. Reid resigned from the head of Arista records. BMG is currently preparing to merge with Sony Music.
Hopefully this means more attention for the girls in TLC. Since Davis left three years ago the label has gone down hill.
In a recent interview with the UK radio show 1Xtra Usher revealed he was single once again. The couple have broken up and made up numerous times over their approximately three year relationship. Usher's new album "Confessions" is in stores soon and appearing on the album is a song written about Chilli called "Burn." You can listen to the Usher interview as well as cuts from his new album at the Radio 1 website

T-boz talks about her solo Album
On a recent interview T Boz was asked about her solo album and the future of TLC. Here´s what she said about those questions:
Are there any plans for another TLC project to come out of Arista?
Now that L.A.'s not there [laughs] …that kind of threw a monkey wrench in the Greatest Hits, so I'm trying to get them to push that date back because everything is kind of screwed up. As far as TLC albums, I can't see us recording another one, but we will hopefully be doing a Greatest Hits once they get their stuff together at Arista. Other than that, I'm doing a solo album and I haven't started on that yet, but the reason's the same as the last one: Soon as they get everything together up at the record company. I've never heard of a record company having nobody to run it and not having their stuff together before they fire somebody, or somebody steps down or whatever you want to call it.
Would your solo project be just like what you did with TLC, or are you consciously trying to do something different?
I can't help but do certain things similar to TLC because what you heard was really me, especially the songs that I wrote on. You'll hear the "Unpretty's" and the "Damaged" type of songs, but I believe that you grow with each album. I did a song with Raphael Saadiq called "Different Times," and that was a lot of my style as well. So you'll hear T-Boz to the tenth power, but I only know how to be me so I'm not going to stray far from what I do.

TLC: TLC - The Hits (Arista)
TLC gave little indication back in 1992 that their girl-powered blend of hip-hop and R&B would define urban radio for the next decade. In the absence of scorching pipes, T-Boz, Left Eye, and Chilli pumped sass-itude into some of the catchiest hooks of a generation. From the cheating parable "Creep" to the loser lament "No Scrubs," their best work still bubbles with the pride of independent women. Call them Destiny's Mama. B+

LA Reid Departure Leaves TLC's Future Uncertain
TLC members Rozonda 'Chili' Thomas and Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins are questioning their future, following the departure of Arista Records boss Antonio 'LA' Reid.
Reid was reportedly dropped by BMG Records chairman Rolf Schmidt-Holtz on January 14 - and BMG's upcoming merger with Sony Music plus Arista's $100 million losses last year are thought to be the reason behind the cost-cutting exercise.
And the move has prompted "Waterfalls" singer Watkins to wonder about the fate of her planned solo album. The group was also set to release a greatest hits album this year, but Watkins admits she's unsure what the next step is.
She says, "Arista is in shambles and I don't know what we're doing."
"Now that L.A.'s not there [laughs] …that kind of threw a monkey wrench in the Greatest Hits, so I'm trying to get them to push that date back because everything is kind of screwed up. The Africana QA: T-Boz
After Belly we never saw T-Boz in front of the camera again. But that's because she's trying to get behind it.
It was twelve years ago that Tionne Watkins pinned condoms to her clothes and joined Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas to form TLC. The three went on to become one of the biggest-selling female R&B groups of all time, after releasing only four albums.
In 1998, shortly before the release of Fanmail, the group's third album, T-Boz appeared as the wife of Sincere (played by Nas) in the movie Belly. The feature film directorial debut of acclaimed music video director Hype Williams, Belly was the preeminent hip hop cinematic event of the day. Aside from T-Boz, the nearly all-rapper cast included Queensbridge-bred rapper Nas, Yonkers representative DMX and Wu-Tang Clansman Method Man, plus had cameos from AZ, MTV's Kurt Loder and more.
The visual style of Hype Williams' music videos — ranging from work he'd done with Aliyah to Buster Rhymes — were becoming an industry standard, and it was thought that his feature films would do the same. But while Belly looked amazing, critics were quick to point problems with its storyline.
Much has changed in twelve years. The accidental death of TLC group member Left Eye in a car accident in Honduras has closed the TLC chapter in T-Boz's life. She's also become a mother, and married Westside Connection's Mack 10. And after Belly became only a cult classic, and not the box-office blockbuster that Artisan was expecting, Hype's star slowly began to fade and he soon withdrew from film and music videos almost totally.
This month Belly will have a second chance, sort of, when a collector's edition that includes music videos and unreleased footage is released on DVD. After watching the film for the umpteenth time, Africana caught up with T-Boz to see if she'd ever act again, put out another TLC record now that L.A. Reid's left Arista, or maybe even step behind the camera herself.
The first and only time we've seen you on the big screen was in Hype Williams' Belly. What was that experience like?
It was really cool because it's cool to see your friends move on and do the things they wanted to do in life. It was just like he fit in that role so well, like he had been doing it for years. He did a really good job. He was quick, he didn't waste a lot of time and it went really smooth, better than videos.
But you had no prior big screen appearances. How did you get to be the wife of one of the main characters?
When we worked together we just clicked, and then we tried to work on other projects outside of TLC but we both got kind of busy. So when he did this movie he called and was like, "Yo! You've got to be in this movie — so much that I already named your character Tionne!"
What was it like to work with Nas, DMX and Method Man?
I was doing Fanmail with TLC at the time, so I didn't have time to come to rehearsals like everybody else. I met my husband on the set right before we were doing the scene. So the first time I meet Nas it was like, "T-Boz this is Nas. Nas this is T-Boz. Okay, this is your scene, a grocery store." I was like, "Huh? Okay." DMX rode in the van with me one morning to the set, so I met him that way, but we didn't have a lot of scenes together and that was the only time I would see him, if we rode somewhere together. But I knew Meth already, him and Red Man are always together like a couple, so I knew him from the business. But when he got to the set he would stop by and say "What's up girl? I'm glad you here." I did one day with him, and then the next day he had to do something with the Wu-Tang Clan, so I had to do my scene with a piece of tape and pretend I was talking to Method Man. And that's real movie stuff, so I was like, "Oh, I'm doing real stuff!"
Belly was your feature film debut, and we haven't seen you since. What happened?
I couldn't do a lot of stuff because of my TLC commitments, then I had a baby, and then I took a break because I thought it was important to be a mother. Now, my baby comes first and everything else comes second. But now I'm producing a movie at Warner Brothers and Overbrook Entertainment, which is James Lassiter and Will Smith's company. Dallas Austin and I are producing Jellybean, and so hopefully that'll be shot this summer, or next summer in 2005. I've got my foot in the door as far a producing. But acting? Yes, I want to, but I haven't really pursued it.
So what is Jellybean about?
Actually, Jellybean is a skating rink that Dallas and I used to go to, a place where I got a lot of my flavor and dancing from to do the stuff that I do in TLC. The dances I do in TLC I've been doing since I was 14. It's probably new to the world, but it's old to me — but it still works. That's my thang here from the dirty south [laughs], that's what we do. But it was this place where urban kids could go to instead of getting into the streets, the drug scene or gang scene, and let their creativity flow. We used to skate and have dance competitions, and it was really just a good place. It's kind of a partial life story of Dallas and I, of where we came from.

Antonio reid Is no longer part of Arista
By NEKESA MUMBI MOODY
The Associated Press
1/13/04 6:06 PM
NEW YORK (AP) -- Antonio "L.A." Reid, who took the helm at Arista Records nearly four years ago and oversaw platinum successes from acts including OutKast, Pink and Avril Lavigne, has left the label, it was announced Tuesday.
Reid became president and CEO of Arista in May 2000 after the company's founder and CEO, Clive Davis, left because of parent company BMG's mandatory retirement policy.
Reid was not available to comment, according to an Arista spokeswoman.
Rolf Schmidt-Holtz, chairman and CEO of BMG, called Reid "one of the music industry's top record men."
"His passion for working with and developing some of the world's best artists is unparalleled," Schmidt-Holtz said in a statement Tuesday. "I sincerely wish him the best of luck in all future endeavors."
Reid's departure comes at a surprising time; OutKast has the top two songs on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, and "Milkshake" from Kelis, another Arista artist, is No. 3. It also has the top-selling album in the country with OutKast's "Speakerboxxx-The Love Below," which earned six Grammy nominations last month, including album of the year.
The company has also had successes this year with albums from Sarah McLachlan and Dido. But the follow-up album from Pink, "Try This," has sold poorly since its release in the fall; her last album, "M!ssundaztood," sold more than 5 million copies.
Reid also re-signed Whitney Houston to a $100 million contract in 2001, despite rumors of drug use and erratic behavior about the singer, who's the label's best-selling artist. Houston's subsequent album, "Just Whitney," was the poorest-selling disc of her career.
Michael Smellie, BMG's chief operating officer, will be in charge of Arista for now.
A spokesman for BMG, Nathaniel Brown, said the company's recent announcement of a planned merger with Sony's music division had nothing to do with Reid's departure.
Reid first gained prominence in the early '80s as a founding member of the R&B group The Deele, which featured then unknown Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. Edmonds and Reid went on to build a successful production and songwriting partnership with hits for artists such as Houston, and later for the group's own label, LaFace Records, whose artists included Toni Braxton, TLC and Usher.
Davis, whom Reid replaced, later founded J Records with backing from BMG and is now head of RCA Music Group.

Chilli is in the new Touch magazine, talking about the Greatest Hits and the good times in TLC
Chilli also talks about whats it like for a group to have two mothers, the future solo projects from T-Boz and herself, she is looking at a January 2004 release. She loves Seal (like we didn't already know lol)
She went to school with original TLC member, Crystal, but she is happy they kicked her out! lol Only cuz she is in the best and biggest group ever!
Her fave album is 3D, obviously because of its meaning and dedication to Lisa. And also she can play it from start to end without skipping a track.
She mentions all the TLC groupies, and they still to this day ask her is she is still with Usher! They are like "Why are you with Usher, he don't know nothing you should be with me!" One guy at the tour got carried away when she got in on stage and started feeling on her butt, so security stepped in lol But she and Usher are happy
If she could set up a male version of TLC, it would have...
Ludacris as Left Eye, then said "No scrap that! Busta Rhymes! I don't need to explain my reason for that!" lol
Usher would be Chilli, "he's a sexpot" she says
Teddy Riley would be T-Boz, "cause he's laid back and has a cool voice".

The Future for TLC
In an interview given on Sunday, T-Boz discussed the future of TLC which includes movies and solo projects. She said that both Chilli and herself will be working on solo albums and will have appearances on each other's albums. She said that she wanted her album to be a 'feel good' album. But she quickly dismissed the questions about doing a solo album during the period in which she released "Touch Myself" by saying that her group members would have knocked her across the head.
She said that she will be writing for other artists. She also discussed unreleased TLC tracks by saying that most aren't good and sound bad and do't want to use them because they don't want to ruin the TLC legacy.
Currently T-Boz is working on the movie 'Jellybeans' with Dallas Austin, which is based on the real-life roller skating establishment in which she grew up and became influenced by. She will continue working on movies with Chilli. But for now the group will close a chapter by releasing the hits CD "Now & Forever" on Monday November 14th in the UK. According to T-Boz, the album was named so because Left Eye always said that TLC is forever.

They ranked number 377 out of 500. This comes from the Dec 11 issue:
Things were not well with TLC during the making of CrazySexyCool: Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes was lighting fires, and the group was in a financial slide that would end in bankruptcy proceedings. But they emerged with the most effervescent and soulful R&B pop anyone had seen since the Supremes.

Greatest hits puhed foward/Repackage edition.....
Board member Shiraz[From Cybertlcworld.net] recently seen a commercial for TLC's "Now And Forever" which stated that the album will be released on November 25th. Now, this causes some confusion, again. Many people believed that Arista had pushed back the release of the album. However, a commercial seems to be more confirmation that the release date will be November 25th (24th in Parts of Europe)
BMG Denmark Says that the repackaged edition is to release in 2004.
Let's hope that there are unreleased songs on the repackaged edition.

Whoop-De-Whoo(Old rap)
Whoop-De-Whoo contains the rap from Gimme some(Which is also from I need that.)(But lisa did record a rap for this song.
(:Lyrics:)
Hmmm
Yeah (yeah)
You know who it is (yeah)
That's right it's us
And right about now (mmm hmmm)
You know what time it is
What you gon' do
What you gon' do
Let me break it down for ya (uh uh uh)
Hey what's up baby boo
I got a question for you
What is your name your sign
Your number can I get up with you
I got my eye out on you
Well are you feelin' me too
We can hang out chit-chat whatever
You know Whoop-de-Woo (alright)
Hook:
Wouldn't that be nice
If I could just blow your mind
On just one lonely night
I'm sure you'll have a good time
Because my love's so good
So gentle and so smooth
So whenever we Whoop-de-Woo
I'ma put it down on you (you)
Chorus:
Come on lets
Whoop-de-Woop-de-Woo
Come on lets have some fun cuz
I want you you want me
And we want we
Come on lets
Whoop-de-Woop-de-Woo (woo)
Come on lets get together
I wanna know you on a deeper level
So tell me what you wanna do
Do you think you gon' come through
Cuz I wanna find out
If those kinky rumors 'bout you are true
See I heard that from my crew
Said you had me feelin' brand new
Oh yeah they say you are an expert in
Whoop-de-Woo
Hook
Chorus
What's up y'all
Yo I keep it blazin' it's so amazin'
The occasion that I am raisin'
Mind body invasion
So who you savin' all that love for
Open up your mind explore
And make it hard-core
You can be the candy man
I'll be your candy store
Give you just a little more
Than what you bargained for (huh)
And if you ask me for some guidance
It's not a minus
I'll break it down to a science
Kitchen appliance
Chorus
Come on lets
Whoop-de-Woop-de-Woo
I said a Whoop-de-Woop-de-Woop-de-hoo
Whoop-de-Woop-de-Woop-de-Whoo
I said a Woo
I said a Woo (owww)
Whoop-de-Woop-de-Woop-de-Woo
Whoop-de-Woop-de-Woop-de-Woo (owwww)

Usher Pens New Song About Chilli For New Album
Whatever the status is between Chilli and Usher, fans will soon be able to gain some more insight straight from the horse's mouth. For Usher's next album, his follow-up to 8701, he wrote a song about his relationship with Chilli.
USHER: It's like the relationship almost completes me. When we got together, I didn't want to spend my time in any other way. I was conflicted about how do I not give that all my attention instead of my career? She really understands what I'm going through, and that's how we're able to make it work out.
Look for this new song called "I Can't Believe It" on his new album Confessions, tentatively slated for an early 2004 release.

After Lisa: A Story About Fame And Family
Excerpt from an Atlanta local magazine by Luke Dittrich
The Lawyer is a skinny man with a string of fat wooden beads around his neck and a wad of Kleenex in his right hand. When standing he is more that Six-Feet tall, but at the moment he is sitting in his office, slumped down so low that only his head is visible above the top of his desk. Then he straightens up, slumps again and coughs damply into his tissue. All the time he's drecting a patter of words at the person sitting across from him, Ron Lopes, a 27-year old man sporting stylishly baggy clothes and corn-rowed hair.
It is early August,2002. The lawyer's office is located in the commercial heart of La Ceiba, a port city on the Caribbean coast of Honduras. Ron's eldest sister died in a car accident south of the city about 3 months ago. Her name was Lisa, but for the last decade of her three-decade-long life she was also known as "Left Eye", the most notorious member of TLC, the best selling female pop group of all time. The lawyer did some work for Lisa when she was still alive, then did some work for her family after she died. Ron is here to pick up a variety of documents relating to that work, and to clear up some apparent disrepancies in the billing for it.
"Well, you see, those bills, they are like that because there are some other things included there, hidden expenses," the lawyer is saying, trying to explain some of the seemingly inflated medical charges accrued after Lisa's accident. "Somebody at the hospital, you know how things work in Honduras, a friend of mine, I had him put some other things into the bills. There's an airplane ticket, you see, an airplane ticket was included in the hospital bill...it makes it easier, you know, all in one place." He smiles a coruscating smile, coughs into his tissue.
Lisa grew up as part of a church choir, who toured around local churches, singing gospel songs. But Lisa dreamed of bigger things. Her father was a musician, and she picked up her musical influences from him as a child. She learned to play the piano at age 5, using her ears alone to teach herself. She was born to be a star. There are old home videos of her perfoming in mock interviews, accepting fake awards, luxuriating in an imaginary fame. Along with her father's musical gifts, Lisa inherited his temperament as well. While Ron and Raina were usually cowered into a corner by his rage, Lisa would fight back, shouting with a strength that belied her size, tapping into a deep-seated anger of her own. She was not yet in her teens when she began drinking her father's beer, sharing, finally, not just his gifts and his rage, but his vices as well.
Eventually, the toxicity of her family life and her dreams of stardom combined to propel her from home. At the age of 18 she drove from Philadelphia to Atlanta, a city she'd never been to before, one she'd heard had a vibrant music scene.
The morning after we arrive in Honduras, Ron and I are in a mud-brick hut at the base of a green mountain. The hut is filled with Lisa's belongings, belongings that were left behind in the turmult that followed her death and now have to be shipped or carried back to the States. Ron is packing the last keyboard that his sister ever owned into his carrying case. The keyboard is a Novation Supernova II. It retails for more than $2,000, and bears about as much relationship to the toy that she composed her first songs on as a Stradivarius does to a Stratocaster. The Novation Supernova II is an instrument fit for a pop star. Which is, of course, what Lisa became after moving to Georgia.
The story of TLC is rich in nicknames. The Atlanta-based trio composed of Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas and Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes was originally managed by Perri "Pebbles" Reid, then-wife of Atlanta music impresario Antonio "L.A." Reid. (Lisa's nickname stemmed from a former boyfriend's remark that her left eye was slightly larger than her right one.) In 1991, Pebbles secured them a record deal with her husband's label, LaFace Records. By blending Watkins' smokey growl with Thomas' diva-ish stylings and Lopes' pixie-voiced raps, the group's songs created a new and successful blend of hip-hop, R&B and funk. Buoyed by a sartorial style that morphed from condom-strewn casual to sexy-cool elegant to space-girl chic, TLC's three albums generated five Grammies and seven No.1 singles.
On the day that TLC signed its first contract with LaFace, Lisa's father was killed by his own......

Cover Up, Posh!
Former Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham (a.k.a. Posh Spice) is reported to be recording a cover of TLC's 1999 song "Shout" for her upcoming debut album with Roc-A-Fella. Beckham's unsuccessful self-titled first album has opened the door for a new record deal with Roc-A-Fella Records. Beckham has, in fact, been given rap lessons by Damon Dash, CEO of Roc-A-Fella, and may in fact remake Lisa's rap for the song. I personally don't see what good could come out of this but only time will tell.

Nice Article on Lisa
http://www.mobo.net/news/2002/lisa.shtml
SHINING LIGHT
"Write a few words about Lisa”, Tous, the Editor said. “You knew her better than most and people need to know about the real Lisa.” Well I suppose I did, having been her publicist for three years and co-manager for a year. I did know Lisa ‘Left-Eye’ Lopes, Lisa Nicole Lopes, Nicole Martinez and N.I.N.A. (New Identity Not Applicable) all of which were the multiple personalities that made Lisa.
But didn’t everyone know her? She was the crazy one out of TLC, one third of the biggest female trio in the world. She was the one who burnt her boyfriend’s mansion down, co-hosted The MasterCard MOBO Awards 2000 (after a three week international womanhunt) but did they know what she’d been through?
When I first met Lisa it was at a cover shoot for Vibe Magazine to promote the upcoming release of Fanmail, TLC’s third studio album in 1999. The first thing that hit you about the shoot was the huge amount of stylists, make-up hair and magazine people running around - the next thing that hit you was that the quietest part of the Atlanta studio was Lisa’s corner. There was no stress, no drama no fake conversation - a sort of peace. She was tiny, 5’3” and a mere ninety-five pounds. The shoot went well, but it was when she told the journalist that she may leave TLC that I learnt just how smart she was. In seconds she had turned a weak ‘We love TLC feature’ into a headline grabbing must read. She knew how to work the media. Having spoken with her many times about the arson and what was happening around that time she felt (and I have to agree) that it made CrazySexyCool, their 1995 LP a ‘better’ album and that the drama in her life helped promote it, as people love drama.
As the co-host of The MasterCard MOBO Awards 2000, TLC’s Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes’
untimely death earlier this year shocked the whole music world. Here, her friend and manager, Matthew Shelton shares his very personal and heartfelt thoughts with the MOBO Magazine
Her life was filled with drama - her dad, she always said, was a drunk: an ex-soldier, which had meant Lisa and her family moved around a lot as a child. She had no home from the age of 12 and was living in crack houses in Philly. She even had to hide in a sofa when a rival gang came in and shot the guard dogs and her friend as a warning to the dealers. She moved to Atlanta, worked in a hair salon then joined TLC. Her cousin drowned at a lake party she threw and she had his name tattooed on her arm and never stopped blaming herself for his death. Then she met AndrŽ Rison who, much as her father had, used to hit her, but she would hit back. She never wanted pity, this was just how life was, but she never wanted others to struggle as she had. She always wanted to help others. Her house was always full of charity cases. Her chef would be forever cooking for ‘friends’ who’d come to stay.
People would ask her for $5 and she’d give them $50. She adopted a seven-year old girl who’d been expelled from two schools and whose mother couldn’t cope. Lisa put her in the Block Party video. That’s what she was doing in Honduras, helping out. She donated a lot of money to the schooling and farming there. I never went there, not a fan of the insects and the threat of poisonous bites, so I never saw what she saw. But Lisa loved it there. Not a religious person but she was immensely spiritual and in Honduras she connected spiritually to the land and the people.
She told me after the next TLC album she’d retire from the industry and live there - she said she wanted to end her days there - she got her wish. I spoke to Lisa two days before she left for Honduras. She wanted me to meet with her and Suge Knight when she got back. She was happy; her love life was going well and the new TLC music was sounding good and the three girls were getting on - all was good.
What actually happened in Honduras, only a few people will really know and it will not be written about. Did a young boy die from being hit by a car that Lisa was in? Yes. Did Lisa’s assistant and brother have to carry her lifeless body into the morgue? Yes. Did photographers break into the morgue to take pictures of Lisa’s broken body and try to sell them? Yes.
I was in Las Vegas airport when I got the call. I was meeting another artist off a plane. The news broke me. It was ironic that nearly two years earlier I had been in Vegas when Lisa told me she wasn’t coming to the MOBO launch. This started a three week ‘Lisa hunt’ and frenzy both sides of The Atlantic and worried the MOBO organizers, but then she turned up at the hotel in London all smiles, for her meeting with co-host Trevor Nelson.
To know Lisa was to know that she was blind to abuse from others. She was constantly stabbed in the back. She hated negativity and thrived off creativity. Lisa was crazy - that we all knew, but she was sexy. While posing for a magazine photoshoot in NY she caused passersby to crash their cars. Lisa was also cool: at the height of CrazySexyCool’s success she went to a school dance as a fan’s date, just because he asked.
I miss her, I think the music industry will miss her, but we are all better for knowing her, however well or which ever personality we knew.
Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes, 1971-2002 RIP.[Source:aly_TLCfan|mobo magazine

GH*Cover

According to Columbia House, this is the cover for the new Greatest Hits album, Now and Forever, the Hits. However, this DOES NOT mean that this is the OFFICIAL cover. Another fake cover has been spotted already. I, personally, am feeling this cover. Very Ooooooohhh...On The TLC Tip era-ish. It's TLC. But only time will tell. The new single also is set to include Sean Paul and some radio stations already have the track. It should be impacting in November, so make sure you request the song HEAVILY and let TLC "leave like Michael Jordan - right on top!"

Then put it in your face now what ya gon' do
Shorty if I shake it then turn around
Then back it up on ya what ya gon' do

If you want some come get some
If you want some come and get some

Went in to the club
You know I gotta geared up
Make sure my hair looks right
Know I'm lookin' good
Wanna put my butt jeans on
Sure make my ass look tight
When my crew lights up
Then we start doin' our strut
Hip to the beat get some
Don't think you really want none
But if you want some get some
Bridge
Chorus
[T-Boz]
Girls from the South
Know how to turn the spot out
Feelin' soul what it's all about
Shake it in the club
Then take you out to the grub
Down at the Waffle House
Everyday we get crunk
We know how to show you love
Can't nobody do it like us
Don't think you really want none
If you want some get some
Bridge
Chorus
[Chilli]
Y'all don't know in the South
We keep the party jumpin'
From dusk to dawn we keep it crunk
We keep the masses bumpin'
Y'all don't want none
Y'all don't want none
But if you think you can hang with the A don't front
Come get some
[Sean Paul of the Youngbloodz]
What's happenin' shawty
Sean Paul from the East side
Wanna ride or die baby
Lotsa replies
Love the way your jeans fit
Cuz your hips wide
I know you're from the South
I can tell from your back side
I'm from the slums
Let me show you how the 'Lac rides
Money ain't a thang baby
'Specially if you act right
A young stunna but I'm sure you got your own money
The only time you see me runnin' baby if the po' comin'
Shawty lookin' good do that dance
I'm pretty sure you know I know what's in them pants
I'm a tease shawty give me a chance
And if you like it now pop it and I'll leave in advance
Oh no shawty I don't play
I can tell from the slang you born and raised in the A
So I'm pretty sure I know where you stay
Baby you hit me on the hip and I'll be headed your way

Whoop-De-Whoo On the Greatest Hits!
Ok, Well first the song was suppose to be the first single for 3D then it didn't make the album, then Kandi and Tiny recorded the song for their upcoming project, and now TLC have it again. I am refering to the song Whoop Dea Woo. The song which was recorded by Kandi and Tiny for the upcoming project has now been given back to TLC for their Greatest Hits. The girls may infact go in and re-record or may just leave it as it was but as of now the song is set to be included. Kandi Burruss a co-writer of the song said that the song fit TLC and they loved it so they are gonna include it, and also that T-Boz, Chilli, and herself have been working on some new stuff for the Greatest Hits album. The girls had been working prior to Kandi coming in but they hadn't come up with anything they liked, but now they are coming strong with a few good songs hopefully for the album.

Lisa"Left-eye"Lopes DVD
I recently purchased the Lisa Left Eye Lopes: Crazy Sexy Cool tribute DVD from Amazon.com. After watching the disc, I feel that it is not worth anyone's money or time. Not only are 99% of the images they use on the DVD taken DIRECTLY from CyberTLC World (without ANY form of credit!), but it has misinformation, and nothing new. The video and image quality is HORRENDOUS. This was supposed to be a professional production, but looks more like something a high schooler would do. Anyone who is thinking of buying this DVD should think twice. The quality is bad, the production is bad, the images and videos are all seen and from other sources, and it offers NOTHING new. This is a low-cost, low-budget, sad money-making scheme on the death of our favorite star. Be warned...)

Bye bye Chilli,Hello Kelly(Rumor)
When singer Usher, 23, and TLC's Chilli, 32, were spotted cozying up together at a fashion show in Manhattan on September 15, some people thought the two-some - who broke up in August after Chilli's marriage ultimatum - were getting back together. Well, think again. They're not, insist Usher's handlers.
Usher's new squeeze is Destiny's Child Kelly Rowland. "They've been talking on the phone regularly into all hours of the night," says a source. Rowland visited Usher several times at Brandon's Way Studio in Los Angeles were he's been recording his upcoming album Confessions. "Usher wants to keep the relationship as low key as possible."
Is this true?I don't know!But i hope Not!

T-boz & Chilli Ready to go Solo & More
NEW YORK -- The Spring 2004 ready-to-wear collection that Tracy Reese presented here Sunday encapsulated most of the new styles shown so far this Fashion Week. What set Reese's pieces apart was her delicate and tasteful approach to stressing sex appeal.
The pastel pinks and lavenders, the sedate floral prints and the fruit-shaded knitwear the designer revealed gave off an air of youthful vibrancy. Her skirts were cut demurely at the knee, but their full silhouettes exposed legs flatteringly. The ribbons with which she banded waistlines created enticing hourglass shapes. And her filmy slipdresses were adorned with enough diamond-like beads in strategic places to ward off any hint of vulgarity.
The big satin bows, short-shorts, pleated skirts and shrunken jackets seen so far in other designers' collections were represented in Reese's show as well. Her interpretation of those developing trends, though, ranks among the best.
Atlanta 'don't hide nothing'
During the media frenzy marking his arrival at the Rosa Chá swimwear show Saturday night, actor Cuba Gooding Jr. was pressed for comments on his preferences in scanty clothing. He wisely demurred, stressing his happy, married-with-children status.
But when asked whether filming portions of his new movie, "The Fighting Temptations," in Atlanta left any lasting impressions, his answer fixated on flesh.
"I like to stay in shape," Gooding said. "I love a good sweat. And the weather there promotes that. You can just sweat standing. There's just something about being warmed up, your muscles being loose from the heat, that makes everybody seem physically approachable." He added, "They don't hide nothing [in Atlanta]. It's really a positive vibe."
Speaking of loose and approachable . . . the Rosa Chá show broke new ground in runway raunchiness. The collection gave added import to Brazilian bikini-waxing by virtue of its bottoms with the backsides cut out, and men's trunks with see-through mesh fronts. Supermodel Naomi Campbell's four self-aggrandizing struts down the runway only added to the hysteria.
The show's start was delayed by an hour because of the conspicuous arrivals of front-row guests such as Beyoncé Knowles, Jay-Z, Ivana Trump, Sana Lathan, Wyclef Jean, Anthony Keadis and Pharrel. Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, of TLC fame, and Toni Braxton sat together on the front row. Braxton was outfitted by Marc Bauer in a sultry slipdress.
"This is my first time coming to Fashion Week," Watkins said. "I've put it off for, like, three years. My schedule always conflicted, but I'm here now." She added that, musically, she's "about to go solo." In light of fellow TLC member Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes' untimely death, Watkins added, "I don't know how long [TLC] could have lasted anyway."
Ready to go solo
The new Ferragamo boutique at Lenox Square may be a marvelous addition to Atlanta's shopping scene, but it's just a hint of haughtiness compared with the new, two-story Ferragamo flagship store that opened here over the weekend.
The grand opening was a feast for the eyes: The shoes, handbags and neckwear that make up the bulk of the Lenox shop's offerings were tucked away, but the suits for both sexes, furry coats and precocious children's clothes were on full display.
Prominently placed, as well, was Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas of Atlanta duo TLC. Outfitted in a sleek, semi-sheer and shimmering gown by Iceberg, she said she was in New York to explore opportunities as a soloist.
"I just signed with Ford Modeling," Thomas said. "I'm open to anything: skin, hair, all that. I want to do a petite line" of clothing. She added that she's committed to completing a TLC greatest-hits compilation with Watkins this fall. "Once we're done with that," Thomas said, "I'm going into the studio solo."

Why isn't left-eye all over Fanmail/What happened to No Scrubs.. why was lisa taken off the radio edit and album?
For The Past 4-5 Yars you've been asking your self(Why isn't lisa All over fanmail/Why isn't her rap on the Album for No Scrubs?)Well Actually Lisa wasn't suppose to be on the original version. It's the main mix version that only contains her. There's a lot of stories behind this. Like Lisa didn't want to have anything to do with FanMail because LA Reid didn't give the girls enough freedom over the album. They didn't get to choose what songs made the cut and they didn't even get to choose the singles. LA Reid did all of that.
TLC recorded enough songs for FanMail (excluding the interludes) to release 3 albums. & half of those tracks were writtin' and produced by Lisa. But none of her tracks made final cut. Which was to Lisa's diss may. She didn't like that too much. But she is on like 5 tracks off that album (FanMail, I'm Good At Being Bad, If They Knew, My Life, Shout) and two of the interludes. & she appeared in all of the videos. But I guess FanMail would be Lisa's leased favorite album. I know Lisa was really happy with 3D when she was still workin' on it. I betcha with out a doubt 3D would have been way much better then it is now if Lisa was still with us.

The N.I.N.A. Album
Kurupt talks about Tha Row and the upcoming Left Eye and Tupac collaboration
With Death Row preparing to re-enter the game under the new name Tha Row with upcoming projects from Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez and the long awaited release of Crooked-I, this will be the first major test for Suge Knight since the early Death Row days tht featured a multi-platinum roster that included Snoop, Dre and the Dogg Pound.
"Right now I'm just sitting behind that desk" Kurupt adds while talking about his new position alongside Suge Knight.
"I'm planning on chilling out for a little bit, I’m going to concentrate on these movies and running this company side by side with Suge. I'm the Senior Vice President of Death Row," Kurupt responded when asked about him and his new position at Death Row.
"We're patching up Crooked I's album right now, the first release is going to be Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopez's album. The N.I.N.A. album, that's the first record we are going to release from the company."
Kurupt went on to say that Suge is going to have the final decision on the album's title and that he wasn't sure of the LP's release date as both Missy Elliott & 'NSYNC were still adding guest vocals to tracks : "We just really waiting on those last two records before we lock down the album and call it complete".
According to Kurupt, the first single off of the Lisa Lopez album is called "Untouchable", a track that features both the late Lisa Lopez and the late Tupac Shakur.
"They were real close friends" Kurupt added. "We felt it was only right that the first release on this record is in dedication to the two fallen soldiers from our company.
We really want everybody to concentrate on Lisa. She was not for play. And when people hear this record, they are going to see a whole different side of Lisa rap-wise because she really put that pen to work."
Will this be a different album to 'Supernova' that we had released in the UK? I hope theres a video for 'Untouchable' as its a wicked song!

According to Suge Knight, the next two projects in the works is the soon-to-be-released 2Pac Nu Mixes, which was reported a few weeks ago, and a yet to be released N.I.N.A. album based on unrelesed songs Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes did prior to her untimely death.
Also, CJ reported on a plea bargin Suge Knight made to finally remove the eight year investigation into himself and his company Death Row Records. The plea bargin finally closes the case, with Suge Knight agreeing to pay an estimated 160k in back taxes.

Exclusive Interview with Calvin Hill
Three The Hard Way recently had an online conversation with Calvin Hill of Eyesite Entertainment on Lisa's unreleased raps, TLC, and the label. As for Lisa's unreleased raps, 6 or 7 are in Eyesite's vaults and being distributed to the artists Nandi, Jena-Si-Qua, and Drip. Calvin's group, a hip hop group named Double Trouble, has no featured raps as of now and are currently the newest act signed to the label. Calvin also relayed his thoughts on 3D which were that, "it was good, kind of long but good". He also had no problem with the reusing of Lisa's raps as most fans did see a problem. Eyesite Entertainment is still on the verge of releasing its artists, website, and much more. Expect great things from the label and its acts. We'll bring you more news as it develops.

TLC Say Goodbye For Good
During this same concert, TLC said good-bye to their fans as they performed for the last time. Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes was honored as the show started out with a video tribute to their deceased third member on giant video screens that hung on the stage. T-Boz and Chilli were accompanied by four dancers and wore white baggy jumpsuits to jumpstart performances of "Girl Talk" and "Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg." Video footage played on the screen showing Left Eye performing the same song and wearing the same outfit as her friends, making her presence felt even more.
After the girls sang "Unpretty," Chilli told the crowd, "this is Left Eye's favorite song," and they went into their hit "Waterfalls." "Thank you, we love you!" the women said before exiting. An early TLC picture was displayed on the screen, showing the girls how we all know and love them--together and having fun.

Gardner did a little research and made a phone call to Arista Records and was informed on the single switch. Radio has also played the track according to Gardner, so it should be only a moment of time before the rest of the country hears of this single [which is my personal favorite choice for a single.
