Toy's Story

Sawadee Ka, That is Thai for hello. My name is Toy, this is my nickname, everyone in Thailand has a nickname, as often our full names are too long say all the time. I have had this name as long as I can remember.

 I am 32 years old and was born a village near Sakan Nahkorn in Issan Province in the north of Thailand. I was born as a boy and my parents named me Jitakorn. I grew up on a farm in a family of 10 people, that is my parents and 8 brothers and sisters. That is, five brothers including me.

 We had a rice farm and had several buffalo but as we grew up most of my brothers and sisters came to Bangkok. As far back in my memory as I can remember I have always been a ladyboy.  It is not like I woke up one morning or when I reached puberty and thought oh, now I will become a ladyboy, this is what I have always been.

 I came to Bangkok when I was 16, to find work. It also gave me the chance to more openly be a ladyboy and there I also met many other ladyboy’s. I went to University for two years where I discovered that I could sing. In Thailand many ladyboy’s become singers in the Cabarets.  I soon found that I could make ok money working as a singer in clubs in Bangkok.

 However, many times the bosses were not good to me. For the last 10 years I have worked in cabaret shows in Bangkok, Bang Kae and Om Yai. But now, no more singing. Last Indian boss not a good man, like many Thai man want me for sex. I do not like these men.

 But in my life I would really like to find a good man who would love me for who I am.
