BIO

Vo.X is currently Aram and Gayana Rian, a young married couple, who have devoted their lives and music to Jesus Christ. Formed as a trio in the 90's in Armenia, this independent Christian duet was once among the few pioneers of gospel pop-rock in a country, where any kind of contemporary Christian music would be considered an unusual phenomenon.

Aram and Gayana are singers-songwriters with a solid experience of nearly 15 years both in creative work and on stage, and a massive stock of over 700 songs and 3 musical dramas based on biblical stories. What distinguishes their songs is the sheer sincerity and straightforwardness of the lyrics merged with bright melodic harmonies of the tunes, which are expressively embellished by the succulent diapason of their heartfelt vocals.

Their first officially released project was the rock-drama "Passions of Cain" about the truth quest of a rebel, recorded in 1999, which was a great success. The double-album was regularly airplayed by the country's major secular radio stations as the best work of that genre in 1999; the band's activity was highlighted by the national television and featured by the media.

In spite of their gospel context, Vo.X gradually became popular among young people and was soon noticed by the manager of the biggest secular rock-club in the capital city, who invited them to play 3 hours of live Christian music every Sunday night.

In 2000, the couple moved to Great Britain, where they recently recorded a new album "Hand On The Plough" about the spiritual pilgrimage of a Christian, which they endowed with an evident autobigraphical colouring. The album features 10 acoustically revised versions of some of Aram and Gayana Rian's old hits and new compositions. "Hand On The Plough" is going to be be released in the near future.
