This website is accompanied by music. If you do not hear it please scroll to the end of the screen and click the little button, That is the PLAY mode. I hope that you will enjoy this website and the beautiful songs of the "Sounds of Joy " singers who so graciously allowed me to feature their good ole Southern Gospel Music on my website.
The first song I ever remember is Amazing Grace. My Mama hummed it throughout her day, and you could hear Daddy singing it while he worked around the house. So it seemed appropriate to chose that song for reminding me that GOD truely has blessed me, and HIS GRACE is Amazing..for he saved someone like me.
We are born into this world with no say so over what country we will be born in, no say so over the parents we will be given, and no insight into where we will be in our future. Only God knows. We begin as a child learning about life from our parents and the world around us. Sometimes we are given in birth to one family, but circumstances may lead us into the lives of someone totally different. I was born into a family with four brothers and four sisters. Our mother died in childbirth with an unborn son. Our family was as scattered as the grains of sand upon a beach. I do not know why God chose me , out of all the children to go into the home I did. All I do know is that he had his hand upon me and he placed me into a Christian home. It was here that I studied the BIBLE before I knew my ABC's. It was here where I watched a feeble old man serve God. It was here I was taught to say a table grace, before every meal, to Thank God for our daily bread. It was here that I learned how to pray. It was here that I learned just how much God loved me. He loved me so much that he sent his only begotten son to die upon a tree so that a bridge might be made to eternity. In the years to come I would walk a different path than the one God would have chosen for me, I would pay a price for my disobedience, and one day I would come to realize that I needed to turn around and go back to those country roots, remember a little country church, and make me an altar in which to find God again.
I know that my paths are unknown to me, but now I do not worry, because God walks on these scary roads with me, guiding my footsteps, and leading my way. I am so glad that GOD ALLOWS U-TURNS.
If you are headed down a road to nowhere, you'd better KNOW WHERE it goes.
When you come to the forks of a road, and don't know which way to go, stop, turn around, and kneel down, and let God lead YOU down the paths unknown.
If you have enjoyed this site please pass it along to all your friends. My goal is to spread God's love...one verse at a time. Thanks for stopping by.
