Welcome to our website, formally known as "The Adventures of Michael and Lauren." Yes, it was a not-so-original title, so we decided to rename it with a more apropos title for Phase II of our Peace Corps volunteer experience.

"I don't understand" is a phrase we have found ourselves saying quite often in Ukraine during our first three months of training, both for language and cultural misunderstandings. Now that we're officially Peace Corps Volunteers (PCVs), you can join us in our quest for understanding by reading all about our adventure over the next two years.

Our service in Ukraine began on March 23, 2008 as Peace Corps Trainees (PCTs) and as sworn-in Peace Corps Volunteers (PCVs) on June 18, 2008.
