I was born at an early age (I know, the old ones are the best), and on completion of my Higher grade exams and sixth year studies, off to work I went as a medical laboratory technician. For the next 2 years I sifted through bits of people in a biochemistry lab, after which I went to a teacher training college on a Community Education course. Another change came along after that, and I became a paramedic (not much difference is there?) spending the next 25 years of life tending to the sick and injured. During this time I became interested in computers (yes, it was originally for the games). On becoming a statistic myself, I left the life ~ saving duties because of back and shoulder problems (I was getting too old for it anyway). My first web site design was for a personal home page (I had free web space with my ISP so why not use it). I didn't realise it at the time but the Web Demon was born, and since then I have designed and maintained web sites for a number of friends and local organisations. I have been involved as a student in courses organised by Barnes and Noble University covering HTML coding and Web page design. Currently I am studying for a BSc in IT and Computing with the Open University and am a registered member of the Macromedia network. |
