This is just a brief word of explanation about the examples pages. These pages contain a small selection of different page effects and designs, ranging from simple backgrounds to full web pages. The most important aspect I would like to stress is that any of the page types, whether they be backgrounds or borders examples, can contain any or all of the ideas or elements included in the sample pages.

Examples on the Backgrounds page have "centre page alignment", so no matter the page dimension, the text will always appear in the centre of the page window. Different text colours have been used to illustrate the effects of colour on the backgrounds.

A variety of brightness and contrast can be applied to the basic Borders page. The borders themselves can be designed with varying widths and, if so desired, include border shadows (again of varying widths).

The example pages incorporate a number of differing effects, and have been designed using cascading style sheets for browser consistency.
