You know, I'mma teach you!
Welcome to the exciting world of Wytn!
This is where I'll be hosting bits and more bits about my Conlang. I've got a dictionary going, and lessons to help those of you who might be curious to get an idea for your own possible conlangs!
Wytnite [Weyr!] is a thought-language: a language that doesn't exist except in my thoughts and the bits and scrap of paper that I decorate with it from time to time. I have found it to certainly be worth the time that it takes to gen and edit. With this 'site, I hope to encourage you to possibly start your own conlang- or to continue work on the one you've already got!
I'm gonna keep building onto my monster, and just see how big it gets!
If interested, you can get a'hold of me at:
And don't forget to sign the guest book!
Well, first off, welcome to WytnSprach, and thanks for taking a look around! I trust you'll like what you see.
I'm always excited when someone new comes to the 'site and reads through my things, because that person has every possibility of becoming one of the (few) regulars, or authors of new 'langs. The creators are often some of the most wonderful people that you'd meet- and after being exposed to a few of them online, I decided to keep feeding my little beastie- and it's turned into this!
While I am trying to get you to expand your horizons a bit, I've also got no qualms with you using my work in any legal way. The dictionary's up for my reference and your own, so feel free to use it, if you'd like.
There are some lessons set up at the moment to give you a good idea of the grammar-construction and the alphabet itself- for my own use and for your reference and perusal, as always.
Have fun snoopin' about!
I'm here via email almost every hour of the day (Literally.), and feedback is greatly encouraged and appreciated!

Happy learning.
Hey loves.
I'll be gone most of the summer at GHP (you may stop the applause. -crickets.-) and so won't be updating. (not like I've been recently anyway. Haha.) Let me tell you though that I'm wiping all of the old lessons AND the old dictionary- Weyr's going through YET ANOTHER revamp: hopefully one that'll make it easier for me to play with.
In the meantime, how-ev', let me point you towards a great 'site: www.lernu.net
Esperanto is the world's most popular conlang: anywhere from 500,000 to a MEELYUN people have had some dealings with it, and there are THOUSANDS of fluent speakers. I've been looking at it for about a week now- and doing so has shown me how messed up this little monster of mine has become. I've got to split a few hairs and re-copy dictionaries, but what the heck, you know?
All in the name of progress.
I feel like I'm actually going to look forward to it, in a way. Haha. I'll consider it a labor of love. x3
Cheers,
.
Yes, you can now have a conversation! -Cheers to the nonexistant crowd.- :)
It took me most of the day to make the convo thinger because I kept getting sidetracked. Teevee, food, sibling, mom, life, air, birds, cat.. :oo
But it's up now. :D I even went to the trouble of making it the same color as the background, so fwah!
This isn't the finished lesson: I've just decided to leave an opening for myself to be lazy and go ahead and post an apology here- I'm working on it likely as you read this (provided it's tonight or tomorrow or something), so no complaints.
I know how much you love your homework.
As always, questions and comments are to be sent TO:

(P.S.- If you feel like congratulating me, you may. :oooo I'm going to GHP!!!!!!!!! -Dance, dance, shake.-)
Haha! And here they are! Our Christmas Surprises have arrived at last!
Firstly, let me comment on how much I like this 'site template. It looks awesome- and that snowman is /really/ cute, don't you think?
I figured that we needed a holiday fix. After all, the Weyr celebrate Jovmoh'n too!
Something that's not really part of our holiday change but that is new is an explanation of the Weyr alphabet. Don't get confused: I don't mean the Sandic (You had that, sillies!). I mean the English-writ version: those normal letters with the funny marks on them. You can find that under the Lesson Notes page- I've even made it the first thing, so that it's super-easy to find!
Along with the template change go the following carols- they've been translated into Weyr for the first time ever just this evening, and sound awesome! Be sure that there will be more seasonal songs to follow, now that I've figured out that it only takes a bit of tweaking to make it fit both the beats and the window. :P
For those of you who do celebrate- Merry Christmas!
And those who don't? - Happy Holidays!
I'll see you on New-Years'. ^_^

UPDATE, 21-12-06:
Emma has finally gotten off of her butt and finished the first half of the numbers lesson.
Take a look!
The images took forever to do (Or at least it /seemed/ that way), but I think that the overall effect is nice.
Also!! I'm looking for people to tell me how to put tests on this thing! Previously, they've all been done through Bebo- and only three people have done it since it went up in mid-August/September, so I'm pretty sure that /that's/ a recognised failure. Any help on that would be greatly appreciated!
As always, you know where to send your questions/comments/complaints!- emmameow@hotmail.com

(P.S. The /Mysterious/ Christmas Surprise is on its way! Keep checking back!)
A plan is in the making! Mwhahahahahahahaaaa.
A friend of mine named Haggis (You'll recall him as the owner of the ' ...chipmunks... ' comment on the guestbook!) has decided to allow me to create with /his/ conlang a mirror or this 'site!
Basically what it will be will be this 'site written in Govvish (The name of the Conlang) teaching this Conlang (Weyr.)
Also, another friend of mine, Thia_, is in the process of creating his own conlang. I'd discussed a while back the possibility him making a freewebs similar to this one. If he does, you know what that means!
We'll be needing a 'Links' page!
:3
Taking suggestions on setup/background, whatever!
And you knowww where to find me! : emmameow@hotmail.com
Always, much love to you, and keep learning!

I know you've ben angsting, haven't you? Rather difficult to use a language with a dictionary that only goes one way, isn't it?
Well, no worries! As of 6:08 this evening, that thing's finally finished! (Whoooo.)
It took about five hours to type, so you'd better be happy with it. >>

Cheers,

If you can't tell, at about 8:53 tonight, the 'site underwent a total change. All fo the old, hideous Weyrglyphs have been altered to stand as Sandic- and I'm sure you can agree on the niceness of it.
It was a much needed change- and as the 'site undergoes further growing pains, I offer you my thanks for being patient. Things will change rapidly from here on out, until the next crunch time, and so please bear with me.
As always, I invite your comments and criticisms! Please send them to me at: emmameow@hotmail.com.
Until then,
-
!
For those of you who complained of messy spellings, I've re-done the entire language! ^______^ (Guess this means I have to change that first paragraph, huh?! -Shakes fist at.-)
A partial dictionary of this re-make is posted in the 'lexicon' page, right under the intro. Beware that it's only about half of a dic.- but enjoy it! As I've managed to puzzle out the new pic. editor, the whole img. to date is there, and it's now certain that there will be more where that came from, in terms of the dictionary.
Also, if you'll look closely, there are _new words._
As always, I'm here for comments! Emmameow@hotmail.com
Never be shy!
-Emma
(Nov. 12- First half done! That means you may now use the entire Eng - Weyr version! Whooooot.)
For those avid homework-doers of you (And I know you're out there!) There's a new lesson. Have fun with it!
Please also remember that any questions should be sent to me via email.
Happy learning!
Sat, June 4 o6 Yes, we've got a dictionary. -Gaspeth.-
I had told you that I would do it (And I wasn't lying when I told you that it'll be a pain in the butt. It took me two hours to get it up online, because I forgot that freewebs doesn't like non-.jpg files. xd), and I have.
As of this moment (9:19 PM, EST), we have a two-way dictionary! -Celebrates.-
I surprised even myself. I got the other half of the dictionary typed in one day (And if you don't think that's something, you try doing it, I dare you.), and I still have time to spare!
Here within the next week or so, expect new Weyr lessons, starting at the beginning level. I also will be taking out the Bebo and dusting it off, and experimenting with the quiz-capabilities it has.
As always, any questions or comments are to be addressed to emmameow@hotmail.com, and I'll be answering them as soon as I see them (I look at email daily, so don't worry that you'll send me things and I'll never get them.).
Happy learning!
-Emma
Friday, 3 June o6.
You know what that means. -Evil grin.-
Pop quizzes!
Tests!
Straighten your back and put that nose to the grindstone! Quiz number one's completed!
I suggest you look really hard at the lesson (The beginner's lesson; the Advanced lesson I only submitted to amuse myself and save me work later on. none of you are to the point of the Indicatives yet, but I love you anyway.), finish your homework, and then get ready for that quiz!
..Can you tell I'm excited?
-Ecstatic!-
I'm not going to tell you the Bebo 'site yet; I'll give it to you after you finish your first homework.
Until then, good luck, and keep at it!
-Emma
(Oh, and by the way? You have to sign up with Bebo in order to take the quizzes. That's www.bebo.com. It's free, it's ..interesting, and it'll help you to study! Email me your Bebo name if it's too different from your real one, or the one I know you by, and we'll go from there.)
