Welcome to Xanadu Weyr's Spring Search 2006! Below is an application for you to fill out. The purpose of the application is for us to get to know you and your character's like and dislikes, dreams and aspirations, history and background. We'd like to get a feel for how well you know your character as well as how well you know Pern. Please feel free to distinguish between your character and you as a player and between IC and OOC wherever applicable. Don't get frazzled if you don't know something; just tell us you don't know. We'd much prefer honesty to fluff, and you can't fail this. So relax, good-luck and enjoy!

There will not be a gold egg this clutch, but we are taking applications for all other colors.

This application is merely for reference - all applications must be filled out on game by typing SEARCH ME.

If you have any questions, they may be directed to any person with 'SearchCo' in their @doing.

.Section One: Basics.

1) What are your character's name, age, rank/title, and place of residency?

2) Who are your Area Leaders and do you have their permission to apply for Xanadu Weyr's search?

3) How long have you been playing Pern games? Have you ever had a dragon before? Insta, or Impressed?

4) Is your computer/online access constant or limited to a time of year, and are you likely to lose access for longer than two weeks in the next six months? How much time are you usually able to spend on PW?



.Section Two: The Character.

1) Please describe your character's history and background. Use your imagination; be in-depth. What molded your character into who they are today. What were they before and what have they become? How does their personality fit with this? What makes them tick? Do they want to be a dragonrider?

2 ) [Crafters Only] What craft and level is your character, and what does s/he do as a crafter? Do you wish/plan to continue with the craft if you Impress?

.Section Three: The Dragon.

1) Please rate all dragon colors in order of your choices, according to the following scale. Please take this moment to tell us if you do not wish to impress a certain color or wish to go one color only. Also, these choices are not set in stone, we will ask again, but if you had to impress today, what would your choices be? This is IMPORTANT: Please explain why for each choice, giving as much information as you can. There will NOT be a gold egg this clutch, but all other colors are an option..

(1) My favorite - I would /love/ to Impress this color!
(2) I would be happy on this color, but it's not my favorite.
(3) If it's the only way I would Impress, I'd take this color.
(4) I would prefer not to be Impressed to this color.
(5) No way. If you Impressed me to this color, I would nuke myself.

1) Here's your chance to voice any comments you were unable to voice in the application.
